Fleurie Releases "Fire In My Bones" Video

Fleurie Releases "Fire In My Bones" Video
December 2, 2016 (Nashville, TN) -- Nashville artist Fleurie has unveiled her music video for "Fire In My Bones," the fourth video released from her critically acclaimed EP, Arrows. "'Fire In My Bones' is a song about the inner battle for control that stems from unresolved or buried pain and shame," explains Fleurie. "This video tells the story of the little girl still alive in me, wanting acceptance for her failures, and the woman I am today fighting to reign victorious, to believe I am in control.”

Released back in September of 2015, Arrows proved to be a launching pad for the electronically-laced, cinematic, dreamy pop sound that has come to be synonymous with Fleurie. NYLON Magazine originally premiered "Fire In My Bones," citing her ability to meld a singer/songwriter approach with electronica. NPR Music highlighted the EP's second single, "Still Your Girl," saying, "...Fleurie uses heavy, jarring electronica to turn an airy pop song into something dark and downright luscious."

2016 saw the release of Fleurie's cinematic album,Love and War, which featured many songs that have received prominent placements in TV and film. "Soldier" was used in the international film trailer forConcussion starring Will Smith, "Hurts Like Hell" can be heard in MTV's Scream, and she's had multiple placements on CW's The Originals with "Breathe" and "Sirens." On top of that, she recently wrapped up a national U.S. tour alongside hip-hop artist NF.

In-between releasing ArrowsLove and War, writing for TV/film, and touring the U.S., Fleurie has begun writing and preparing for her next full-length release.

Rolling Stones Blue & Lonesome Out Now !

THE ROLLING STONES RETURN TO THE BLUES
WITH NEW ALBUM

‘BLUE & LONESOME’ OUT NOW
Five decades in the making and just three days to record

The Rolling Stones have released ‘Blue & Lonesome’, their first studio album in over a decade. Recorded in just three days in London, England, ‘Blue & Lonesome’ takes the band back to their roots and the passion for blues music which has always been at the heart and soul of The Rolling Stones. Released today, December 2nd, on Interscope Records, ‘Blue & Lonesome’ is available in various formats (see below).
The album was recorded over the course of just three days in December last year at British Grove Studios in West London, just a stone’s throw from Richmond and Eel Pie Island where the Stones started out as a young blues band playing pubs and clubs. It was produced by Don Was and The Glimmer Twins.
Their approach to the album was that it should be spontaneous and played live in the studio without overdubs. The band - Mick Jagger (vocals & harp), Keith Richards (guitar), Charlie Watts (drums), and Ronnie Wood (guitar) were joined by their long time touring sidemen Darryl Jones (bass), Chuck Leavell (keyboards) and Matt Clifford (keyboards) and, for two of the twelve tracks, by old friend Eric Clapton, who happened to be in the next studio making his own album.
‘Blue & Lonesome’ sees the Rolling Stones tipping their hats to their early days as a blues band when they played the music of Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, Eddie Taylor, Little Walter and Howlin’ Wolf - artists whose songs are featured on this album.  “This album is manifest testament to the purity of their love for making music, and the blues is, for the Stones, the fountainhead of everything they do.” Don Was, Co-Producer of ‘Blue & Lonesome’  #BlueAndLonesome

GABRIELLA COHEN - debut album 'Full Closure and No Details' out in EU/UK today!

GABRIELLA COHEN
Releases Full Closure and No Details in the EU/UK today
PRAISE FOR GABRIELLA COHEN

“…a modern psychedelic prophet who layers drawling vocals, heartache, and healing over a background of Velvet Underground-esque guitar distortion.” - ROOKIE

"Cohen's songs are wholly her own, filled with reverb, heartache, and '60s girl-group sway—and we can't wait to hear more.” - ELLE

"Musically there's bits of Mazzy Star, Nick Cave and The Velvet Underground to devour." NME

"Full Closure and No Details is a kaleidoscopic fuzz-pop statement."
Rolling Stone Australia ★★★★

"Smokey guitar pop, steeped in the Velvet Underground and vintage soul." - Brooklyn Vegan

"
Gabriella has a badass way with a distorted electric guitar...Fuzzy smokey Velvet Underground guitar-pop, coupled with a woozy but articulate voice." - MOJO ★★★★

"A striking debut." - Uncut ★★★★Gabriella Cohen releases her debut album  Full Closure and No Details  throughout the globe - out Friday 2nd December in EU/UK via Dot Dash. The record was released earlier in 2016 in Australia viaDot Dash / Remote Control Records and in the USA via Dot Dash / Captured Tracks.

Gabriella has quickly established herself as a brooding storm dressed in silk, gaining well-deserved attention with her vivacious live shows that still audiences to surrender. Having just toured the UK and North America as part of her A Crepe & A Nightcap TourGabriella returns home having left behind crowds enraptured by her charm, and now, with a record to hold on to.

Her first solo full-length,  Full Closure and No Details , is the product of ten days and two microphones. Co-produced alongside close friend, bandmate and engineer Kate Babyshakes’ Dillon, the record is the result of what Gabriella describes as the “ceremony” of reflecting on a relationship. The songs are soaked in the kind of aching nostalgia that is tinged with equal measures of sadness and triumph. On 'I Don’t Feel So Alive', Gabriella warns: “This could be the last time we get together”, and on one hand it’s melancholy, but it’s in the spirit of endings that are also beginnings.

There are two sides to Gabriella’s coin though — for every moment of raw, cutting emotion, there’s one of otherworldly ethereality. It’s what makes the record feel timeless, which doesn’t mean old-fashioned — but rather that the vocoder on 'Feelin’ Fine' and the fuzzy, frenzied drums of 'Alien Anthem' don’t feel at odds with the dreamy, ambling melodies and old-school ethos at the heart of Gabriella’s songwriting.

The album’s title is a mirror held up to both the relationship it details, and to the songs themselves: they feel confessional while remaining opaque, full of story-telling but never detail-heavy. Instead, the songs exist in a kind of vacuum, personal to every listener, like a dream that’s hard to recall after waking.

You can experience this sensation watching her latest video for 'Downtown', directed by Sky RichardsGabriella Cohen had this to say about the track and video: "Downtown was written in the summer of 2014 in Highgate Hill, Australia. I remember just finishing the recording in my room. A friend walked past. I yelled at him to duck his head in and listen… Take what you want from it… I guess it comes from a direct place of figuring out self-worth and personal integrity. The film clip happened two years later… a real spin on things it seems. We did it in the forest, my favourite place. Enjoy.” Watch the video via the image below.

http://u.subpop.com/2gbq5ctOn the eve of Low's UK & Ireland tour - on which they're set to play tracks from their seminal 1999 EP Christmas - the Duluth trio present a reflective and inspiring new recording, closing out our current year and looking ahead to the next."Some Hearts (at Christmas Time)" finds Mimi Parker's lead vocal soaring above Alan Sparhawk's own artfully processed vocal and plaintive guitar motif. The song comes with a short message from the band:"To friends who have moved away and friends who have passed on this year. To one and all, especially those who are alone, we wish you a Merry Christmas and new hope for the new year. May we all find ways to lift each other. With love,Mimi, Alan and Steve."Low have an unparalleled pedigree when it comes to releasing seasonal aural delights. Their eight-song 1999 EP Christmas is often referred to as one of the best Christmas albums of the alternative era, and is a gift that many fans return to year in, year out. Originally championed by John Peel, the EP collects five Christmas-themed originals by the band as well as covers of "Little Drummer Boy," "Blue Christmas" and "Silent Night."Starting today, fans will have a rare chance to experience the joy, peace and reflection imbued in these songs - as well as new release "Some Hearts (at Christmas Time)" - when they're performed live in some of the most handsome venues that the UK and Ireland has to offer. The tour, which includes two nights at London's Union Chapel, is nigh-on sold out with just a handful of tickets remaining at certain venues.Low Christmas 2016 tour
