ADULT. Announces New Album, Out March 17 Via Mute

ADULT.

ANNOUNCES DETAILS OF A BRAND NEW ALBUM
DETROIT HOUSE GUESTS

WITH COLLABORATIONS FROM DOUGLAS J. McCARTHY,
MICHAEL GIRA, SHANNON FUNCHESS & MORE

LISTEN TO “THEY’RE JUST WORDS”
FEATURING NITZER EBB’S DOUGLAS J MCCARTHY Photo credit: Nicola KuperusADULT. (Detroit’s Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller) have announced details of a new collaborative album, Detroit House Guests,  out on double vinyl and CD on March 17, 2017, their first album for Mute.

Listen to “They’re Just Words,” the first track to be taken from the album, featuring Nitzer Ebb’s Douglas J McCarthy  HERE .

And watch the album trailer  HERE .

Detroit House Guests  is a collaborative project, conceived by ADULT. in the early 2000s. The concept became a reality in 2014 after receiving a John S. and James L. Knight Foundation grant.

Based on the visual artist residency model, each musician came to ADULT.’s studio for a three week period with the parameter that they all live, work and collaborate together. The result: a total anthropological sound experiment and a full-length album.

The album features collaborations with a whole host of musicians and artists – Douglas J McCarthy from Nitzer Ebb, Michael Gira from Swans, Shannon Funchess from Light Asylum, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe aka Lichens, Austrian thereminist Dorit Chrysler and multidisciplinary artist Lun*na Menoh.

ADULT. is the Detroit duo Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller. They played their first live show together in Germany in 1997 under the name Artificial Material. In early '98 they released their first 12" under the moniker Plasma Co. Later that year, they released their first 12" under the name ADULT. Currently, they have released six albums and 19 EPs or singles on Ghostly International, Thrill Jockey and Clone Records, as well as on their own label Ersatz Audio, (which currently has over 40 releases since it was founded in '95). They have remixed over 20 acts as well, including Tuxedomoon, John Foxx, Death in Vegas and Pet Shop Boys (for Moog Music).

Kuperus and Miller also make sculpture, paintings, films, photographs, performances, videos and installations. They strive to intersect the lines between art and audio and have exhibited their work at institutions such as the Austrian Cultural Forum (NY), Mattress Factory (Pittsburgh), Detroit Institute of Arts (Detroit), MOMAS (Saitama, Japan), and Centre d'art contemporain de Meymac (FR). They have shown their film The Three Grace(s) triptych at spaces such as Anthology Film Archives (NY), Distrital Film Festival (Mexico City), and Grey Area for Art and Technology (SF).

Boss Hog Release First New Album in 17 Years - Brood X

Boss Hog Release First New Album in 17 Years –
Brood X

Out March 24 on In The Red Records

Listen & Share First Track “ 17 ” via Stereogum

Announce Tour Dates + NYC Release Show

BOSS HOG’S NEW LP BROOD X — THE RHYTHM, THE REBEL!

A REVOLUTION OF THE MIND, ROCK’N’ROLL FOR BODY AND SOUL!

TIME TO STAND UP!!

HERE COME THE WOLVES —ARE YOU READY FOR THE REVOLUTION???

BOSS HOG returns from the wild with their most subversive record yet — this is the seductive soundtrack for the second coming of militant rock’n’roll, and the groove has never been stronger.

BROOD X  — emerging from the dirty streets of New York City after 17 years gestation  —  is a futuristic brew of 21st Century blues, toxic punk rock beat music, and hyper-focused, outer-space psycho assaults. Thermo-nuclear chanteuse CRISTINA MARTINEZ blisters the hypocrites, the haters, the heartless, and the clueless hangers-on with a full-tilt microphone attack. A sex-bomb salvo for troubled times, Martinez give’s voice to America’s pain while pulling no punches.

BOSS HOG does not negotiate. This is scorched earth rock’n’roll for the resistance, barbed-wire blues battling for the future of the planet. Recorded & mixed at the fabled Key Club, using Sly Stone’s legendary There’s A Riot Going On console, BROOD X channels the subversive mojo of the underground and brings next-level sonics to save your very soul.

elbow Release "All Disco," Taken From Forthcoming Seventh Studio Album "Little Fictions" Due February 3rd, 2017

ELBOW RELEASE "ALL DISCO"

TAKEN FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM "LITTLE FICTIONS"LISTEN
“ALL DISCO”
iTunes
Apple Music  Amazon  |  Spotify Following the release of their latest single “Magnificent (She Says),” Manchester’s elbow have released a brand new track titled “All Disco,” the second song to be revealed from their highly anticipated forthcoming studio album “Little Fictions” which drops worldwide on February 3rd. Listen “All Disco”  here ."All Disco" is recognized by all four members of something of a new musical departure for the band, drawing inspiration from the late 60’s psychedelia scene and the likes of the Velvet Underground and is propelled by Mark Potter’s heavily overdriven guitar. The title is borrowed from Pixies’ Frank Black, who described his wealth of music (both with his band and as a solo artist) to Guy in a radio interview some years ago to somewhat self-deprecatingly as "all disco." The phrase stuck with Guy as a perfect understated tag for a lyric addressed to new songwriters to "give nearly everything to their art but remember their art is not everything." Guy adds that it is ‘one of the few songs on the album that started theme first’, that remembered quote being brought back into his mind during the album’s recording process.“Little Fictions” is released by Concord Records in North America on 3rd February 2017 on Gatefold Vinyl, CD and Digital Download. Those pre-ordering the album digitally will receive “Magnificent (She Says)” immediately. A special edition boxset of the album containing a bespoke book, CD LP and digital download of the album is also available in limited quantities exclusively on the  elbow store .
