“Sensual, ethereal… like a nightclub act from a shadow dimension, one that’s glamorous and sexy but also on the cusp of cosmic chaos.” – Wall Street Journal“Eclectic and exciting… Poised and enigmatic… [David] Lynch couldn’t have written her story better himself.” –Billboard
Chrysta Bell, Twin Peaks actress and longtime musical partner of David Lynch, will release her sophomore album, We Dissolve , via AWAL/Kobalt Music Recordings on June 9. Recorded in Bristol, UK, with Mercury Prize-winning producer John Parish (PJ Harvey’sLet England Shake), We Dissolve is a pop record with elements of soul, rock and jazz, and features contributions from guest artists including Adrian Utley (Portishead), keyboardist Geoff Downes (Asia, Yes) and drone metal guitarist Stephen O’Malley of Sunn O))). Stream “Devil Inside Me” via YouTube. Stream “Gravity” via Spotify.
David Lynch wrote and produced Chrysta Bell’s 11-song debut, This Train (2011), as well as her acclaimed 2016 EP, Somewhere in the Nowhere. Evocative of Lynch’s film and television productions, both retro-tinged releases feature dark and airy musical soundscapes conjuring a dramatic atmosphere that allow Chrysta Bell’s sensual vocals and soulful melodies to take flight. The closing moments of his surreal epic Inland Empire featured the duo’s song “Polish Poem,” a classically Lynchian ballad.
Chrysta Bell is featured in Twin Peaks, which premiered on SHOWTIME on May 21. David Lynch says Chrysta Bell “is not only a killer performer, she also has a great intuitive ability to catch a mood and find a melody that’s really spectacular,” and recalls, “The first time I saw her perform, I thought she was like an alien. The most beautiful alien ever.”
Chrysta Bell’s professional career as musician began after being signed by RCA Victor at the age of 18 as the lead vocalist for the popular Austin-based gypsy swing act 8 ½ Souvenirs. In her four-year tenure with the band, Chrysta Bell delighted audiences on many North American tours and shared the stage with legendary musicians such as Willie Nelson and Brian Setzer.

The Kills Announce 'Echo Home - Non-Electric EP' in Celebration of 15th Anniversary
The Kills Announce Echo Home - Non-Electric EP in Celebration of 15th Anniversary Featuring Acoustic Versions of Tracks New and OldPlus Cover of Rihanna's "Desperado"
The Kills - Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince - will release the Echo Home - Non-Electric EP digitally on June 2nd, with a limited edition 10" vinyl release available for pre-order today. Both the physical and digital versions of the Echo Home - Non-Electric EP will feature audio from a stripped down session the band captured recently at Electric Lady Studios in New York. Alongside "Echo Home", the EP features Ash & Ice track "That Love", a cover of Rihanna's "Desperado" (which the band originally played as part of a Sirius XMU session), and the song "Wait", off the band's first ever release, Black Rooster EP, which celebrates it's 15 year anniversary on May 28th. The Black Rooster EP was originally released on Dim Mak in 2002 and was the start of what's been an incredible career for Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince of The Kills. With five full-length albums (the most recent being 2016's Ash & Ice), four EPs, a documentary, and countless live shows under their belt, the passion and fire they continue to bring to every recording and performance is extraordinary. In their 15th year as a band, The Kills have been looking back and celebrating with a string of anniversary shows and retrospective features, and now this re-recording of "Wait", one of the first Kills songs ever released. Steve Aoki, owner of Dim Mak and another artist who has proven a career with similar staying power, recently had some words to share on the release of Black Rooster: "Many moons ago, back in 2002, I had to make a decision whether to pursue a Ph.D. Program or continue with my label Dim Mak & after hearing a demo from The Kills and becoming the first American label to release their EP Black Rooster, I knew what path I was going to choose. They took me under their wing and I hit the road with them as their tour manager, merch guy, driver (we all took turns) and label. I'll never forget that and love Jamie and Alison forever. Thank you for believing in lil me when not many people gave two shits about Dim Mak and what we were doing. Ride or Die." - STEVE AOKI Watch The Kills perform "Desperado" (Non-Electric Version) HERE. The Kills will be appearing on the July 12th episode of the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

NPR Premieres "No Hell" - An Exclusive Clip from Cloud Cult's Feature Film 'The Seeker'

With 'The Seeker,' Cloud Cult Makes A Movie To Match Its Music
May 24, 2017 10:00 AM ET by STEPHEN THOMPSON

This June, the band is set to bring The Seekerto the live stage for the first time in select US cities. Cloud Cult will perform the full score ofThe Seeker while the film plays on screen, followed by a second set of fan favorites.Cloud Cult toured in support of that album release to sold-out audiences in early 2016 and the partner film, also titled The Seeker has been wooing critics at film festivals and captivating audiences in national theaters since then. The film is set for digital release on June 13th. Presale for the U.S. and international digital release of the film began last week on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Vimeo (click here to pre-order and for more info).
The Seeker, starring Josh Radnor (Mercy Street, How I Met Your Mother) along with Alex McKenna (What Women Want) is the story of Grace, a daughter whose idyllic life is turned upside-down by immense tragedy. As she grows older, her cynicism and apathy towards her new reality is challenged by a reminder from the past that sets her on a pilgrimage that will define her. The story and music were written by Cloud Cult, and the film was visually scored and directed by Jeff D. Johnson of Motion 117 Productions.
The Seeker is one of a small handful of feature-length narrative dramas to land on Entertainment Weekly's “Must List.” According to film critic Joe Neumaier of the Tribeca Shortlist, “Anyone who’s ever heard echoes of their childhood during times of crisis or contemplation - meaning, anyone breathing - will be utterly swept away.”
The film won the “BEST OF FEST” in the Visual Music category at the Speechless Film Festival, and despite fierce competition from a record number of movie releases in 2016,Sarasota Film Festival’s Michael Dunaway calls The Seeker “One of the top 8 films not to miss this year.” Jason Carney, the executive director of the Phoenix Film Festival, picked The Seeker as one of the “10 Don’t Miss Movies” (out of more than 150) in his interview with TheArizona Republic.

Cloud Cult will perform the full score to the film in select cities below along with a second set of fan favorites! Grab your tickets now HERE as the band sold out shows in most of these cities on last year’s album release tour.

The performance was broadcasted live from the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN on Saturday, May 20. Listen to the full show HERE and watch her performance of “Goose Snow Cone” HERE.Additionally, Mann confirms additional East Coast tour dates this June with stops in Brooklyn,Providence, Port Washington, Portsmouth and more. Tickets can be purchased HERE. See below for complete tour details.Mann’s latest album, Mental Illness (SuperEgo Records), continues to receive critical praise— The New York Times proclaims, “Mental Illness wallows in its troubles, and it’s an exquisite wallow,” while The Los Angeles Times adds, “Every doomed syllable is sacred and every tragic rhyme fits, as though each song were a puzzle to which only Mann knows the solution.” NPR Music furthers, “Mental Illness can be punishingly sad, but also breathtakingly pretty.” Artist quote sheet can be found HERE.Mental Illness shows off Mann’s rich, incisive and wry melancholia in an almost all-acoustic format, with a “finger-picky” style inspired by some of her favorite ‘60s and ‘70s folk-rock records, augmented by haunting strings arranged by her longtime producer, Paul Bryan. On this eleven-track album, the Oscar-nominated, Grammy-winning singer remains a student of human behavior, drawing not just on her own experiences to form the characters in the songs but tales told by friends. Additional players include: Jonathan Coulton on acoustic guitar and backing vocals, Jay Bellerose on drums, Jamie Edwards on piano, John Roderick as a co-writer and Ted Leo (who recently joined her in a joint side project, The Both) as a background singer. After several albums with Til Tuesday, Mann began her solo career in 1993 with the albumWhatever and made a name for herself through her independent success and the founding of her record label, SuperEgo Records. In addition to her solo albums, she has appeared on many film soundtracks, most notably the score for Paul Thomas Anderson’s Magnolia, with “Save Me” landing her Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Best Original Song.In 2014, Mann joined up with Ted Leo for a more rock-oriented duo project, releasing a self-titled album under the name The Both. Other extracurricular activities since her previous recordCharmer ranged from playing herself on the hit TV series Portlandia to performing for President Obama and the First Lady at the White House. Named one of The Huffington Post’s “13 Funny Musicians You Should Be Following On Twitter,” Mann has gained a diehard social media following for her quick wit and stinging observation. Photo Credit: Shervin Lainez(New York, NY): Today, exclusively via Billboard, soulful songstress Domino Kirke has released "Beyond Waves," the first single from her upcoming debut album of the same name. The song is, “a bohemian-tinged folk-pop track, features dark, resonant guitars and sparse percussions layered with Domino's entrancing vocals,” (Billboard) and tells a deeply personal story - one of the struggle, and ultimate triumph, of Domino finding her own voice in her art.Listen here: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/rock/7801341/domino-kirke-beyond-waves-new-singleSet for release on August 25th, Domino's debut record, "Beyond Waves" is more than two years in the making and is her most personal work to date. Co-written with Luke Temple (Here We Go Magic), co-produced by Joan Wasser (Joan as Police Woman) and recorded jointly in Hudson, New York’s Future Past Studios and Brooklyn’s Strange Weather Studio, the album lavishly expands on the dreamy synth-infused folk rock of her 2015 EP, ‘Independent Channel.’ The 11-song body of work was engineered by Daniel Schlett (Modest Mouse, DIIV, Oberhofer) and Patrick Higgins (Z’s) and mixed by Bryce Goggin (Swans, Trey Anastatsio) at Trout Studios. Though it is the first single from her debut record, "Beyond Waves" was the last song that came together for Domino. The instrumental, co-written by members of Here We Go Magic, became the perfect complement to Domino's soul-stirring lyrics, which tell the story of her evolution as a person and as an artist. "Getting these words out," according to Domino, "was its own kind of medicine and a deeply personal attribution to my last few years." Touching on the birth of her son, one of the record's most personal through-lines, Domino sings, "I had a child no one told me wasn't a toy". This anecdote, amongst others, brings together the intersection of Domino's artistry, experience as a mother, and work as a doula with Carriage House Birth, all of which served as inspiration for her new album. Born into a family of creatives and artists, Domino has established herself as a prominent artist to watch. A student of piano and vocal performance at New York's prestigious LaGuardia High School of Music & Performing Arts, she signed her first record deal as a teenager - collaborating with Grammy-winning producer and artist Mark Ronson (Adele, Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse) - and toured the world with everyone from Gang of Four to Lily Allen with her band DOMINO, which was also featured in Lena Dunham's acclaimed film 'Tiny Furniture.' Deemed a "triple threat" by Vogue for her role as a mother, a doula and a musician, Domino also has received praise from Nylon, Entertainment Weekly, V Magazine, Broadly and more.http://dominokirkemusic.com/https://www.facebook.com/DominoKirkeMusichttps://twitter.com/DominoKirkehttp://instagram.com/dominokirke
