New Music - ShitKid 'Yoouuu' (PNKSLM)

SHITKID RELEASES ‘YOOOUUU’

‘Yooouuu’ https://soundcloud.com/pnkslm/shitkidyooouuu
PNKSLM Recordings are proud to present ShitKid’s upcoming EP 'This Is It’ - arriving on January 19th on limited edition vinyl and digitally. Hailed as an anti-popstar, ShitKid is the project of Swedish artist Åsa Söderqvist, and the release is the follow-up to her acclaimed debut LP ‘Fish.’
ShitKid first appeared in the spring of 2016 with a self-titled debut EP and quickly rose to prominence as one of the most exciting new acts out of Scandinavia, with a unique DIY-edge and an unwillingness to conform. After the success of the debut album and multiple tours around Europe, and slots at festivals like Roskilde, Way Out West, The Great Escape, ShitKid is now back with new music – her fourth collection of tracks in under two years.
This Is It is ShitKid’s strongest collection of tracks to date, while showcasing both a broader sound and a growth in songwriting, it retains the direct lo-fi qualities of her early recordings. 'This Is It' is performed and produced by Åsa herself and recorded on her own in her bedroom, her car and her rehearsal space, and later mixed and mastered by Luke Reilly.

Alice Phoebe Lou: On Oscar Shortlist, New Music Out Next Month

ALICE PHOEBE LOU TO RELEASE NEW STUDIO SINGLE,"SHE," ON FEBRUARY 23rd, 2018
A live version of "She" is on the shortlist for the ACADEMY AWARD for BEST ORIGINAL SONG, and featured in  BOMBSHELL: THE HEDY LAMARR STORY , currently in theaters. Voting begins today.WATCH THE LIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO.
Official music video coming soon.SEE A SNEAK PEEK.
"A golden girl with a huge voice and somnambulistic self-confidence...She retains the WOW effect." - Rolling Stone
"Alice Phoebe Lou sings like sleepless rainfall... I didn't want to take my eyes off of her." - Pigeons and Planes
(New York, NY) Alice Phoebe Lou's fiercely independent approach to her music has given the singer songwriter a creative confidence that shines through in her captivating vocals and stripped back music. Born in South Africa and having developed her ethereal indie-folk sound busking on the streets of Berlin, Alice has caught the ears of a community of music lovers the world over with her honest storytelling and raw, beautiful voice.
Alice first traversed Europe in 2010, at the age of 16. Armed with just an acoustic guitar, she began to develop a devoted street following of fans, supporters and collaborators. She soon self-released her first body of work, the Momentum EP. By 2014, she was garnering international attention. In 2014 and 2015, she performed at TED events in Berlin and London, respectively, as well as Exponential Medicine. 2016 brought about the release of Alice's first full length studio album, Orbit, comprised of nine jazz-influenced, eclectic tracks recorded between Cape Town and Berlin that encapsulate the freshness of her live style, vagabond spirit and distinctive, soprano voice. She was then nominated for BEST FEMALE ARTIST at the 2016 German Critics Choice Awards, and performed at the 27th Annual Conference for the Professional Business Women of California, sharing stage with keynote speakers Venus Williams, Judy Smith and Memory Banda.
In support of Orbit, Alice spent much of 2016 on the road, touring with artists such as Sixto Rodriguez, Boy & Bear, Allen Stone and Crystal Fighters. She also put on three sold out multimedia events at the Berlin Planetarium, the biggest in Europe. The shows all sold out within 24 hours of being on sale, and by demand she added two additional planetarium performances to her 2017 tour itinerary. The shows were a spectacular symbiosis of live sound and amazing visuals which Alice worked on hand in hand with the director of the planetarium, Tim Florian Horn.
2017 saw a live version of the song "She" going viral. The performance video has well over two million plays on YouTube, and it was selected to be featured in the film BOMBSHELL: THE HEDY LAMARR STORY, executive produced by Susan Sarandon. The movie has already won several awards including BEST DOCUMENTARY (New York Film Critics, Online) and been nominated for numerous others. It was recently announced that "She" has been placed on the Oscars shortlist for BEST ORIGINAL SONG. In addition, Alice self-released the EP, Sola, in December of last year.
Following the release of the studio version of "She" on 2/23/18, Alice will be touring internationally, including a run in the US. A new studio album is also in the works.

Circuit des Yeux Tours The West Coast & Europe!

CIRCUIT DES YEUX BRIGHTENS THE DARKEST WINTER NIGHTSIt's 2018 folks, and with subterranean temperatures here in the Midwest and a goddamn bomb cyclone hitting the East Coast later this week, Circuit des Yeux seems to've known what was up when she booked her imminent West Coast tour for the end of January. And it wouldn't be the first time - Haley Fohr certainly knew what the fuck was up when she made the amazing and acclaimed  Reaching For Indigo , too! So whilst nearly the entire USA is freezing their behinds off later this month, Haley & co. get a reprieve with a visit to the West Coast! Sure, there's really only one night in within the truly warmer confines of Los Angeles, but that coastal air is mild, clean and refreshing all up and down the coast, putting a lighter tone on this darkest of months.
Immediately following, Circuit des Yeux wing on over to Europe for a two week tour, which will be the first opportunity for those on the other side of the ocean to see CdY perform  Reaching For Indigo  live in its entirety! These dates are fast approaching, so follow the warm vibes and go see Circuit des Yeux!WEST COAST TOUR

NPR First Listen Features Typhoon's 'Offerings'

NPR FIRST LISTEN SHARES ADVANCE PREVIEW OF TYPHOON'S  NEW ALBUM  OFFERINGS
 AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE  JANUARY 12
LISTEN AT NPR.ORG

 CD / 2XLP PRE-ORDER AVAILABLE NOW
Today NPR's First Listen has offered up an advance play of contemplative indie rockers Typhoon's forthcoming new album Offerings which will be released January 12th via Roll Call Records.
"The fourth album Offerings [is] the most ominous and sonically dramatic record from Typhoon," shares NPR's Bob Boilen. "This album of brilliant storytelling, clocking in at almost 2300 words, is worth dissecting and poring over. Unlike previous music from Typhoon, where roughly a dozen musicians normally includes big and uplifting brass, this one is more guitar-centric, with dark string arrangements. After listening to it, I texted my All Songs Considered co-host Robin Hilton the following: "good lord this Typhoon album is brilliant ... haven't cried listening to a record since [Sufjan Stevens'] Carrie And Lowell." Offerings is truly a wise and ruminative record."
The band has already released two singles from the album - "Rorschach" and "Darker". Watch the video for "Rorschach" here and listen to "Darker" here.
Visit the band's store to pre-order the album in CD (signed for pre-orders), MP3 or vinyl format. The limited-edition Blood-Red Offerings vinyl (1,000) have already sold out.
Typhoon is gearing up for their tour in North America and Europe in support of the album, starting January 10th.
