Acclaimed singer-songwriter, Cyn has revealed a mesmerizing new visual for her  Valley Girl  fan-favorite track “Love You Like I Want To” – Co-directed by Cyn, the video comes with the launch of her  Valley Girl Zine  - also revealed today -  a special hand-made accompaniment to her debut album Valley Girl released in November thru Unsub Records/Capitol.

“I’m so excited to share this visual for my song ‘Love You Like I Want To,’” Cyn gushes. “I feel so lucky to be able to extend the story of this song with a super cute, no strings attached performance. I had so much fun dressing up for this shot and I think we nailed it.”

Watch  HERE .

Hand crafted and written by Cyn and created to provide a more tactile experience into the Valley Girl world, the  Valley Girl Zine  is a 20-page booklet that offers insight into the stories behind Cyn’s music and more, providing poetic blurbs, a guide to the San Fernando Valley, quizzes, style guides and more. The process of making this zine was one of scissors, paper, magazine clippings, and many glue sticks. After designing each page, laying out each paper scrap and fixing it in a viewable fashion, Cyn scanned the zine to be printed as is – the old-fashioned way.

Speaking about the zine, Cyn remarks “Creating the ‘Valley Girl Zine’ was a labor of love and I had a blast doing it! This zine is basically a love letter to anyone enjoying the Valley Girl album.

The  Valley Girl Zine  is available HERE

In November, Cyn released her full-length extended version of her debut album, Valley Girl – Extended via UnSub Records/Capitol Records. Following the release of Valley Girl: Side A - Lost On Laurel in September and Valley Girl: Side B – Los Angeles, No Offense.  Listen) HERE.
Speaking about the new release, Cyn reveals, “I am thrilled to stop shouting this music into my hairbrush and instead, begin shouting it to the world! I have been alone in this valley for what feels like a lifetime, and it means the world to have the opportunity to invite you in. I wrote this album to make myself feel better, and so that is what I wish for whoever listens. With this music, I hope you feel inspired to smile, dance, laugh, and to feel that you are absolutely the main character in your own rom-com. xo“

Valley Girl (Extended) features all 12 tracks from Sides A & B, including fan favorites like “Drinks,” “House With A View,” “Losing Sleep,” “Where Do All The Diamonds Go,” “Be Like Her,” “Growing Up” and “Crazy,” plus three brand new tracks, “Sweet,” “Sink Your Teeth in Your Tongue” and new single, “The Smiths.”

Cyn’s debut, full length album, ‘Valley Girl’ is available on limited edition baby pink and spring green vinyl via her official website.

BONNIE TRASH new album 'Mourning You' out today! Listen in full now. New video online!

BONNIE TRASH- New album ‘Mourning You’ out TODAY on Hand Drawn Dracula!
- Listen in full now
- New video for "Poison Kiss" online
“A blend of doom, goth, shoegaze and post-punk that is moody, heady and instantly captivating… Deceptively earwormy and moreish.” - 8/10, Metal Hammer
"[An] entrancing combination of massive riffs and smoky, bewitching vocals" - FLOOD"Their most expansive and haunting songs to date" - Punk News
Today Guelph, Ontario hell-raisers Bonnie Trash release their new album,  ‘Mourning You’  via Hand Drawn Dracula. Alongside the album release, they have also shared a new video for "Poison Kiss".

'Mourning You'  is, put bluntly, an album about death. Not death in the macabre, violent, or outrageous sense, but death as you or I might know it. A spectre lurking around the corner. Capricious, indiscriminate, and unexpected. Ordinary and all the more terrifying for it. Real. Fear in the eyes of a loved one about to die, and the fear in your eyes – staring back. This is sorrow not as a lingering bruise, but a gushing wound.

Bonnie Trash is the project of twin sisters Emmalia & Sarafina Bortolon-Vettor, wedding post-punk’s steely-eyed austerity to goth rock’s brooding grandeur. A lifelong project christened in 2017 with the release of ‘Ezzelini's Dead’, the band's debut EP which found the pair mining the Trevisan dialect and archaic Italian folklore of their heritage to grisly effect. Where their first full length, ‘Malocchio’ (2022), shrouded Bonnie Trash's nightmares in dusky dreamlike reverb, ‘Mourning You’ is vivid and immediate. Emboldened by the addition of Emma Howarth-Withers on bass and Dana Bellamy on drums – whose thunderous rhythms sharpened 2024's ‘My Love Remains the Same’ EP into a fine-edged blade – ‘Mourning You’ is less a post-mortem fantasia than a sudden, swift dagger to the heart.

Sarafina, the band's singer and lyricist, has described the album as being about "losing someone you love. It's about the horrors of grief, haunting you every day." Inspired, largely, by the passing of Nonna Maria – who provided interstitial narration across the band's early work – it's these intimate details which render the songs on ‘Mourning You' so devastating. The record explores love and grief as kindred spirits. Grief as love with nowhere to go. Love determined by the fear of its loss. A blood pact. A life for a life. The gnarled claw of remorse gripping you in twilight's terror.

Though inspired by the shocking iconography of horrorshows, slasher flicks, and psychological thrillers, Bonnie Trash turns cinematic tropes on their head. Rather than fashioning nightmares into reality, the band paints reality as a nightmare, rife with pain, suffering, and gothic theatre. Bonnie Trash understands that everyday atrocities haunt the periphery of our lives. A black cloud looming on the edge of our vision. Curses abound. You can't ward them off. You'd best make an unholy racket.

(February 28, 2025) - Fresh off of releasing their new EP last week, Paris Texas surprises with a second new project, They Left Me With A Gun. Serving as the second of two anthologies that began with last week’s They Left Me With The Sword, the new EP takes a different sonic approach than its predecessor. Where Sword followed a fluid, linear arc to its sound, Gun tears up that script, embracing harsher, experimental sounds across six unpredictable tracks. They Left Me With A Gun is accompanied by a second music video paired with the visual for They Left Me With The Sword, completing the story of these two anthology projects. Both music videos are co-written by Louie Pastel, Felix and Dan Streit, (Charli XCX, BROCKHAMPTON, A$AP Rocky), who also directed both EP visuals.

Both EPs were made in the months leading up to Paris Texas embarking on the biggest tour of their career. Louie and Felix are currently on the CHROMAKOPIA world tour with Tyler, The Creator and Lil Yachty, playing six sold out hometown shows at Crypto.com Arena in LA last week before touring up the East Coast. The tour will play shows across North America, The United Kingdom and Europe, and Australia & New Zealand in 2025.

They Left Me With The Sword and They Left Me With A Gun are spiritual sequels to the duo’s 2021 EP Red Hand Akimbo, which included fan-favorite single “girls like drugs”. Louie and Felix are ushering in the next phase of their ever-expanding visions for Paris Texas with these two anthologies, narrated by a secret, eerily familiar voice. On both EPs, the duo took a more collaborative approach than their previous projects, with longtime friends and collaborators Billy Lemos and Dilip central to it coming together.

With the all-around world-building of their two early EPs Boy Anonymous and Red Hand Akimbo, Paris Texas cemented themselves as one of the most exciting new voices in music with MID AIR, which was critically lauded by the likes of Vulture, i-D, The FADER & more.

Listen to They Left Me With A Gun above, see more EP info and all remaining dates on the Chromakopia tour below, and keep an eye out for more from Paris Texas.

Headlining North American Tour Starts Next Month - Dates Added

“‘Bad Larry’ recalls the majestic country-folk of the ’60s, much closer to the post-Slowdive project Mojave 3 than Slowdive themselves. There’s a sense of comfort and ease that crawls along with each dreamy refrain, blending the existential folklore of its subject with a kind of unbroken purity.” CONSEQUENCE

“Cloakroom are catchy one moment and morose the next, but they never let their heavy aura slip.” PASTE

“hooky melodies and propulsive drums” STEREOGUM

“Meddling in new wave and dream-pop, the band trades in their normally sludgy tempos for a quicker pace that calls to mind groups like DIIV and Wild Nothing.” UPROXX

“razor-sharp songwriting and lush atmospheres that nod to classic shoegaze, midwestern emo, 60s pop, and more.” CHICAGO READER

Indiana trio discuss their new album, 'Last Leg of the Human Table', writing shorter songs for shorter attention spans, no longer embarrassing their folks, and being champions like the '90s Bulls. Cam Lindsay's First Revival (Read the Interview)

“Their songs feel as if they’re built from the ground up, able to reach cosmic heights because of the meticulous construction of their foundation.” TREBLE (Album of the Week)

Last Leg of the Human Table Official Music Videos:
Unbelonging” | “Bad Larry” | “Story of the Egg

Cloakroom’s latest studio album Last Leg of the Human Table arrives today via Closed Casket Activities, their debut for the label. Pop, shoegaze, doom, post-punk, folk only scratch the surface on Cloakroom’s shortest, yet most essential release to date. Each song showcases the trio’s genre-bending capabilities and seemingly vast array of influences; whether it be the sampling of the post-disco Detroit group Was (Not Was) or the lifted NASA recording of the humming of Saturn’s rings. Recorded in December of 2023 at Electrical Audio in Chicago and Rec Room Recording in Des Plaines, Illinois, engineer Zac Montez (Whirr, Turnover) aided in smoothing out the rough and turning up the quiet.

For Cloakroom the world of modernity is in polycrisis and America has lost its soul. Narrative fetishism is all too usual of a literary mechanism for Cloakroom. If you listen closely you can hear the concern; not just for the teetering social structure but for what it means to be human and the high cost of the human experience. Its title Last Leg of the Human Table may sound sardonic in its nature, but this group has always found some wonder in the scurrying chaos of modern life. In 37 minutes, the album imbues a sense of responsibility to the listener as if one leg were to falter, the whole table will fall.

V**GRA BOYS DROPS NEW SONG + VIDEO FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM

V**GRA BOYS DROP NEW SONG + VIDEO FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM v**gr aboys

WATCH THE VIDEO FOR “UNO II” + LISTEN HERE

v**gr aboys IS OUT APRIL 25TH VIA THEIR NEWLY LAUNCHED LABEL SHRIMPTECH ENTERPRISES

INFINITE ANXIETY TOUR TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Credit: Fredrik-Bengtsson

Stockholm post-punk band V**gra Boys (**= "ia" because of spam filters) announced a new album last month, and today they’re back with the next single. “Uno II” redirects vocalist Sebastian Murphy’s take on conspiratorial anxiety—shifting from human meat bags to finding it embodied in his beloved dog. The Italian greyhound, Uno II, spent a year going back and forth to the vet with dental issues, and Murphy couldn’t help but imagine what the dog must be thinking. “He goes to this place, then wakes up in some weird room, and he’s missing his teeth,” he says. While Murphy never explicitly suggests that “Uno II” is a stand-in for the anarcho-primitivist meme obsessives and conspiracy theorists he’s skewered in the past, the connection is hard to miss. Over chiming sweeps of guitar, drummer Tor Sjödén’s shimmering shuffle, and whispers of Oskar Carls’ flute, Murphy briefly turns the obsessive thoughts inward: “I seem like such a bitch / When I talk about Swedish politics.” The song arrives with a video where Shrimptech Enterprises' star journalist, Sebastian Murphy is sent on assignment to cover a seemingly innocent dog show in Eastern Europe. But as the trip unfolds, he finds himself under constant surveillance, shadowed by unseen forces, slipping deeper into paranoia and madness. His Croatian veterinarian may hold the key to his fate—but is he a sinister manipulator or a desperate ally? As reality fractures, the story spirals into a gonzo journalistic glitch, blurring the line between truth and delusion. Directed by Sebastian Murphy and André Jofré, “Uno II” was recorded guerrilla-style across Czechia, Finland, and Sweden. The track follows the first single, “Man Made of Meat.”

Watch the video for “Uno II” here.

Available April 25th via their newly launched label Shrimptech Enterprises, v**gr aboys was co-produced by frequent collaborator Pelle Gunnerfeldt with the V**gra Boys. The album channels the band’s sharp observational humor and unique ability to dismantle everything and nothing at the same time, while juxtaposing real life with high art. The album cover, featuring an original artwork painted by Leo Park, digs further into that concept.

In 2022, the band released their third album Cave World, the volcanic satire taking shots at the conspiracy theorists and anti-vaxxers that surrounded him. That album  saw the band’s Late Night TV debut via Jimmy Kimmel Live! along with coverage from the likes of NPR, Pitchfork, Fader, V Magazine, Needle Drop, and so much more. With v**gr boys frontman  Murphy has shifted focus inward. “The whole political thing was exhausting,” Murphy admits with a chuckle. “This is like a self-titled album but a bit simple and stupid—because that’s how I am.”

The band recently announced their infinite anxiety tour of 2025. The tour kicks off at Coachella on April 12, followed by a stint across Europe and the UK in April and May. They’ll then return to the U.S. and Canada for their first headline shows in the territory in two years, beginning September 10 in Vancouver. The 23-date North American leg includes stops in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and many more (full dates below). Tickets for the tour on-sale now.

Today, Bella Union has released Boy in a Bubble, the latest single from Nell Smith’s posthumous debut solo album Anxious due out April 11. The song is a psychedelic celebration and thank you note to Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips, who opened the doors for Nell’s first work. Synth riffs, psychedelic guitar and Lips-esque production accompany whimsical lyrics describing their collaborative journey and friendship. The accompanying video was produced by leading creative agency Firmative and features footage of Nell, Wayne and The Flaming Lips’ awe-inspiring live performances.

Posthumous record releases will always be charged with emotion but when the release comes from a 17 year-old artist that was just getting started it’s heartbreaking beyond expression. Anxious is a mesmerizing selection of songs that explore the highs, lows and uncertainty of teenage life through the eyes of Nell and is the follow-up to Where The Viaduct Looms, her debut collaboration with The Flaming Lips that explored the works of Nick Cave. Guided by the talented Jack and Lily Wolter of Penelope Isles, who helped shape Nell’s songs, some of which had been in the works since she was twelve years old, the result is an album brimming with emotion, playful melodies and a depth that hints at what Nell’s future may have held.

“It is still very painful when I realize Nell is gone”, says Wayne Coyne. “I keep thinking I’ll check my text messages from her. I’m sure she has a new drawing or new piece of a song or a new photo of her cat… and then I remember she is gone. Now when I’m listening to her singing these songs there is a brief fantastical joy. Her voice hits the ear, the ear tells brain this is the sound of love, the brain lets the mind fly through the billions of connections it has with Nell’s life... but as it flies it also flies to her death... there is something holy that happens now.”

A lot of Nell’s creative drive was rooted in raw teenage emotions; apprehension; love; travel; gratefulness; ambition; and grief. These moods are visited throughout the tracks on the album with an instrumental approach that brings joy into even the darkest of songs.

INTRODUCING…

ECCA VANDAL

FEARLESS MULTI DISCIPLINARY AUSTRALIA-BASED

OUTSPOKEN NEW WAVE + COARSE PUNK

Introducing Ecca Vandal, the multi disciplinary artist known for her fearless genre-bending sound. She epitomizes creative multiplicity — a rebellious and tenacious voice with an explosive shot of adrenaline. Today, fresh off a recent tour supporting IDLES, she shares her bold new single, “Cruising to Self Soothe.”

The new song boils with Ecca Vandal’s signature blend of outspoken new wave and coarse punk. An overt display of influences in a hybrid sound entirely of her own, listeners can hear nods to Nirvana, Fugazi and Turnstile. “Cruising to Self Soothe” sees Ecca tightening the screws with sharper hooks, starker storytelling, and anthems for yelling into the night. “You look better when I don’t look back” she proclaims on the defiant “Cruising to Self Soothe,” as she continues trudging a renegade path.

“‘Cruising to Self Soothe’ is about cultivating your inner strength when navigating life on your own, even when it feels a bit isolating,” notes Ecca. “It's about that pivotal moment when you recognize that you're stronger without the people who were weighing you down, and there's a real sense of empowerment in that for me. It captures the feeling of breaking free and moving forward, no matter the challenges that come. Even when others are waiting for you to fall, you're still rising — stronger than ever.”

Ecca’s recent releases are her first in several years and include last fall’s “BLEED BUT NEVER DIE” and “THEN THERE’S ONE.” “Cruising to Self Soothe” is her third release after “taking a bit of a breather for my heart, health and art.” In the few months since entering this new era, Ecca’s performance reels have skyrocketed her social media following and generated substantial online buzz.

A musical auteur, Ecca Vandal defies categorization, seamlessly weaving together punk, hip-hop, jazz, soul, trip-hop, and electronic influences into a sound that’s bold, dynamic, and entirely her own. Spending her formative years as a jazz musician, her passion for improvisation led her to fall in love with the DIY abandon of punk and foster an ability to effortlessly balance soulful melodies with raw, unapologetic power.

South African-born with Tamil heritage and an upbringing in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia, Ecca Vandal strutted her way onto the musical landscape in 2016 in traditional punk-style with an edgy disposition and something to say. Ecca brings unrelenting energy to the stage with a history of touring alongside global heavyweights such as Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Idles and The Prodigy, as well as appearances at a host of iconic festivals including Download, Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK, AfroPunk in France and Splendour in the Grass, Falls and Laneway Festivals in Australia.

Neither her sound nor persona are fixed for easy consumption. Political, rebellious and tenacious, with a voice demanding to be heard — Ecca Vandal is magnetism personified and exactly what we need right now.
