“…a quintessential Mould-ian mix of pounding aggression,
oceanic guitar buzz, and teaming melody.”
- ROLLING STONE
“[Here We Go Crazy] finds the onetime Hüsker Dü and Sugar frontman
piling on the sort of speedy riffs, dead-center hooks and scream-of-consciousness
lyrics that have defined much of Mould’s nearly 50-year career.”
- THE NEW YORK TIMES
“Here We Go Crazy, with its thought-provoking lyrics and terrific songcraft, is yet another valuable addition to Mould’s stellar catalog.”
- GOLDMINE MAGAZINE
"A darker, heavier, more ripping record than he’s delivered in a while."
- BROOKLYN VEGAN
“Bob Mould continues to deliver albums that roar with punk energy but maintain the high quality of songwriting that’s been a constant throughout his career.”
-TREBLE ZINE
“After 15 solo albums, Bob Mould knows exactly who he is—
and what kind of music he likes to make.”
-THE A.V. CLUB
Today sees the release of Here We Go Crazy, the 15th solo album and first full-length studio album in more than four years from legendary musician Bob Mould. It's out now via Granary Music/BMG Records. To mark the occasion, Mould has shared a new single from the album in its resplendent centerpiece “When Your Heart Is Broken” alongside an accompanying lyric video.
"'When Your Heart Is Broken' is built from a familiar blueprint for my work: bright melodies, dark words, loud guitars," Mould explains. "It’s one of the earliest songs written for Here We Go Crazy, and I added it to my Solo Electric set list in Fall 2022. Some nights, I would play 'Too Far Down', followed by 'When Your Heart Is Broken', then ask the audience: Which one of the two is heavier? To me, the musical urgency of 'When Your Heart Is Broken' is uplifting, the lyrical reflection offers redemption, and it’s most certainly a song I can throw myself into when playing live."

Here We Go Crazy – which follows 2020’s critically acclaimed Blue Hearts – was heralded at the top of the year by the premiere of the lead single and title track, “Here We Go Crazy,” with anticipation further piqued by last month's follow-up, the turbulent second single “Neanderthal.” “Here We Go Crazy” was hailed by The Guardian as "a muscular ripper [that] stands alongside Mould's best" and by Stereogum as “vintage Bob Mould – a concise power-pop jam with a soaring melody and a whole lot of muscle,” the track was joined by an official music video directed by Gus Black (Phoebe Bridgers, Teddy Swims).

Produced by Mould at Chicago, IL’s famed Electrical Audio in early 2024 and then finished and mixed at Oakland, CA’s Tiny Telephone with longtime engineer Beau Sorenson, Here We Go Crazy once again features backing by the crack rhythm section of drummer Jon Wurster and bassist Jason Narducy. Together the trio bring a bracing attack to eleven new Bob Mould songs.
“On the surface, this is a group of straightforward guitar-pop songs. I’m refining my primary sound and style through simplicity, brevity, and clarity," Mould says. “Under the hood, there’s a number of contrasting themes. Control and chaos, hypervigilance and helplessness, uncertainly and unconditional love.”
Mould and band will mark the arrival of Here We Go Crazy stateside with US headline dates getting underway April 1st at San Diego, CA’s Music Box SD and then traveling through mid-May. Highlights include stops at venues including Pioneertown, CA’s Pappy & Harriet’s (April 2nd), San Francisco, CA’s The Fillmore (April 5th), Seattle, WA’s Neptune Theatre (April 7th), St. Paul, MN’s Palace Theatre (April 19th), Chicago, IL’s Metro (April 25th-26th), Boston, MA Paradise Rock Club (May 2nd), New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge (May 3rd), and Washington, DC’s Black Cat (May 7th). (March 6th, 2025) - Today, Cuco teams up with director Paul Trillo and visual artist Paul Fores to release an animated short film that serves as a visual love letter to his hometown of Los Angeles. Made in collaboration with Microsoft’s creative suite, the team used Microsoft’s AI tools to bring Flores’ hand-drawn visuals that were originally conceived as part of the production for Cuco’s 2024 4U Tour to life and complement their artistic vision in a way that honors their cultural heritage while simultaneously embracing technological possibilities.
Speaking on the process of creating this homage Cuco shared, “This project is about creating something that feels both nostalgic and entirely new. Like when you're driving through the city on a hot day, and the heat starts warping everything you see." Trillo adds, "We wanted to create something that references different eras but feels completely fresh—a new way of seeing LA through a dreamlike lens."
Check out the short film above and stay tuned for more from Cuco coming very soon.

Art of London’s Art After Dark turns the West End cosmic with a free takeover by Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian, uniting space agencies, astronomers, and musicians
Spectacle features extraterrestrial rocks, neon cats inspired by physics experiments, cutting-edge telescopes, and a lunar-bounced soundscape by leading artists
Iconic artists sending tracks to the moon include Pussy Riot, Massive Attack, Moses Boyd, Ayse Hassan (Savages), Mirrored Fatality, EOBIONT (Láwû Makuriye’nt) and The Avalanches
Members of the public capturing selfies, calling to ‘speak to the moon’, and searching for extraterrestrial intelligence through the telescopes
Art After Dark (6–8 March) marks International Women’s Day with late gallery openings, BSL tours, and a surreal space film on Piccadilly Lights
Thursday 6th March 2025, London: An intergalactic takeover has transformed London’s West End as artist and designer Dr. Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian, founder of tuition free University of the Underground and NASA’s International Space Orchestra, unveils a free public art spectacle for Art of London’s Art After Dark (6th–8th March).
Around the iconic Piccadilly Circus fountain, asteroid-shaped iridescent boulders appear to have tumbled straight from space, while in Leicester Square, towering five-metre neon inflatable cats - the size of a double-decker bus and inspired by Schrödinger’s famous quantum paradox - prowl the scene.
Creating a portal to space while celebrating London’s nightlife, the asteroids broadcast a hypnotic lunar soundscape featuring excerpts of tracks from Pussy Riot, Massive Attack, The Avalanches, Moses Boyd, and Mirrored Fatality which have been bounced off the Moon. Transmitted 768,800 km via Earth-Moon-Earth technology and received by Jodrell Bank’s Lovell Telescope, the audio signal is spread over the entire nearside of the moon, penetrating several metres into the surface before returning to Earth with a unique and otherworldly sound, blending the original sound with those from the moon and the cosmos.
As part of this ‘DJing with the moon’, Mercury Prize winner Ayse Hassan (Savages) crafted a mesmerising soundscape for Piccadilly Circus, blending the pulse of London’s bustling streets and iconic institutions including the National Portrait Gallery. Additionally, a newly produced track in collaboration with the late noise artist EOBIONT (Láwû Makuriye’nt), who tragically passed away this week, features the heartbeats of women from Ben Hayoun-Stépanian’s Armenian family to mark International Women’s Day.
For those eager to explore the universe firsthand, state-of-the-art UNISTELLAR telescopes will be stationed across the West End, offering breathtaking views of nebulae, star clusters, and Jupiter during Galaxy Season. Guided by SETI Institute astronomers, visitors may even take part in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. Meanwhile, culture seekers can step into a red telephone box outside The Londoner to ‘call the moon’ and chat with an AI-powered hotline.
The culture experience brings the universe closer than ever and culminates on 8th March with a special 25 minute screening on Piccadilly Lights - a world first for the UK landmark - of Ben Hayoun-Stépanian’s film, From The Void To The Full. Spanning from the ocean’s depths to the farthest reaches of space, the surreal collage-based journey explores our evolving world, cosmic wonders, and humanity’s drive for discovery through fire and electricity.
Meanwhile, a collection of extraterrestrial-inspired ceramic artworks - co-created with local youth groups* in a workshop developed by the artist - is on display at the Cabinet of Curiosities in St James’s Market Pavilion until the end of May.
Beyond these cosmic installations, West End visitors can explore late-night gallery openings from world-class institutions at the Art of London Gallery HOP! and Friday Lates at the National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery, and Royal Academy, making Art After Dark the ultimate cultural night out.
After an interstellar adventure, visitors can refuel at the West End’s top restaurants, bars, and theatres, all joining the celebration. Visit the Art of London website for programme details, gallery hops, exclusive deals, and bookable art tours, including BSL-interpreted experiences.
Art After Dark is part of Art of London’s commitment to showcasing art in every form, delivered by Heart of London Business Alliance in collaboration with Westminster City Council.
Rachel Williams, local city worker, said: “I was just on my way home from work when I stumbled upon these glowing rocks in the middle of Piccadilly Circus, emitting incredible sounds that had travelled to the moon and back! I even got to glimpse into space through powerful telescopes - such a surreal experience!”
Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian, eco-feminist artist and designer of experiences, said: “Piccadilly Un:Plugged invites you to break free from the everyday and step into the extraordinary and alien aesthetics - to gaze into the cosmos, and to understand that we are only a small part of a much larger ecosystem and solar system itself. As you contemplate our place in the universe and the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligence, immerse yourself in a spectacle that champions love, compassion, inclusion, and accessibility.
“Powered by an electric team of incredible scientists and female, trans, and non-binary artists, this experience reimagines the future of nightlife - on Earth and beyond. I’m beyond excited that everyone can now be part of it, engage their radical imagination and question what other futures could be like. This is all dedicated in loving memory and honour of groundbreaking artist Láwû Makuriye’nt (aka EOBIONT), who tragically passed this week, and who produced the music showcased in Piccadilly Un:Plugged; their spirit, avant-garde vision, and boundless curiosity continues to inspire us all.”
Kirsty Tullett-Jones, Director of Marketing and Communications, Art of London, said: “We’re thrilled to unveil the latest edition of Art After Dark, in collaboration with the incredible Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian and some of London’s most renowned institutions. This free event is open to all, making art accessible for everyone. Join us for this vibrant cultural adventure in the heart of the West End and venture into space with us!”
Professor Simon Garrington, University of Manchester, said: "Using the Earth-Moon-Earth technology to transmit sounds to the moon and back is a fascinating fusion of science and art. To receive speech and music this way is a technical challenge and requires powerful radio telescopes, such as The University of Manchester's giant Lovell Telescope. What we hear combines our human creativity with signals from the moon and the cosmos beyond in a truly unique way. The lunar landscape actually imprints itself in the sounds and signals we receive. Astronomers can exploit this to image the surface of planets and asteroids in a similar way to how bats perceive their environment."
Dr. Franck Marchis, Chief Scientific Officer, UNISTELLAR, and Senior Astronomer at the SETI Institute said: “With our telescopes stationed across the West End during galaxy season - when space is at its most visible - Londoners and visitors alike will have the rare opportunity to experience the wonders of the cosmos firsthand. We’re thrilled to collaborate on this unique event and can’t wait to see what the public discovers!”
Massive Attack say: Today, Massive Attack is sending a cover of the Russian punk band Grob’s “Everything is going according to plan” to the moon and back using Earth-Moon-Earth (EME) technology as a part of Piccadilly Un:Plugged a free public art cosmic installation in Piccadilly Circus on 6th, 7th and 8th March. “Everything is going according to plan” was written by Yegor Letov in the 1980’s and was a withering critique of the Russian state. It was performed live in Russian language by Massive Attack in 2013 as part of a collaborative show with filmmaker Adam Curtis."
The Avalanches add: "We’re thrilled to be part of the Piccadilly Un:Plugged happening this weekend. It’s such an interesting and exciting concept to have audio bounced to the moon and back, and to hear the interpretations and alterations that occur along its 768,802 km journey. We’re honoured our song “We will Always Love You” was chosen to take the interstellar ride.”
Aysa Hassan says: “I feel exceptionally honoured to be involved in such an awe-inspiring experience, sharing the space with other talented beings that do so much for the community. It’s important to have visibility in the mainstream - Beings that represent and provide hope, paving a way for current and future generations to have the confidence to use their voice, pick up an instrument and navigate smashing down any barriers they might face when being true to themselves.“

MARIA ISKARIOT. Dutch-language punks seethe with rage on the raw "Leugenaar (Liar)”
INTRODUCING: MARIA ISKARIOT- Hear new single & video “Leugenaar" (Liar) now
- Blending raw Dutch-language punk with themes of self-discovery, growing up, and the moral ambiguity between good and evil

Today Ghent-based newcomers Maria Iskariot share their defiant new single “Leugenaar”, a slice of vitriolic raw Dutch-language punk.
Translating to “Liar” in English, the track seethes with raging energy, as front-woman Helena Cazaerck spits the lyrics “He feeds the people sugared lies / Knows too well how to disguise”. A live video of the track already drew attention to the band online, leading to Tropical Fuck Storm inviting them on their UK and Scandinavian tour late last year. Now, as the band put the finishing touches to their debut album, they unleash the studio version of the track and accompanying video.
The band comment: "Leugenaar is an absolution, a pelvis under the chin of a drooling monster waiting to be freed from a rotten tooth. Anyone expecting further explanation can go to hell."
“Leugenaar” on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uOS_oX8-fU
Maria Iskariot is Helena Cazaerck (vocals and guitar), Loeke Vanhoutteghem (guitar), Sybe Versluys (drums), and Amanda Barbosa (bass). The band have a distinct artistic and social vision, which is reflected in their music and lyrics, blending raw punk with themes of self-discovery, growing up, and the moral ambiguity between good and evil. This last theme is also embedded in their name—a fusion of Maria (the Virgin Mary) and Iskariot (Judas Iscariot, the betrayer of Jesus), symbolizing the tension between holiness and betrayal.
They see their music as a medium for storytelling—often unfiltered and confrontational, yet also playful and relatable. Maria Iskariot emphasizes authenticity and expression, refusing to conform to classic pop or rock structures. This aligns with their punk attitude: scream when necessary, whisper when it fits, and always create from a place of raw, honest emotion. Their lyrics are often introspective but also socially critical—never moralizing. They play with contrasts and dualities: tenderness vs. aggression, chaos vs. control, and hope vs. despair. This is not just a punk band but an artistic and social statement - urgent, fresh, and groundbreaking.

Steve Von Till (Neurosis) Announces New Solo Album - Shares Lead Single/Video "Watch Them Fade"
Steve Von Till
(poet, educator and Neurosis vocalist/guitarist…)
Announces New Album Alone in a World of Wounds
Due May 16 via Neurot Recordings
Shares Lead Single / Video “Watch Them Fade”
Upcoming Festival Performances: Roadburn (Tilburg), Prepare the Ground (Toronto), Fire in the Mountains (Blackfeet Nation, MT)

Physically enveloping, forebodingly beautiful, and drawing on the animistic spirit of the natural world, Steve Von Till announces his latest solo album Alone in a World of Wounds, arriving May 16 via Neurot Recordings.
Ploughing a different furrow, Alone in a World of Wounds is a collection of sweeping gothic tinged Americana, tripped out drones, beautiful world weary vocal melodies and slowly unfurling cello arrangements. Initially inspired by the harmonic resonance of piano and synths and his long standing love of ambient music, Alone in a World of Wounds follows 2021’s No Wilderness Deep Enough in reflective ambience. Opening up his voice in ways he has never done before, the album's genesis came via intuitive improvisations. "The complex overtones of upright piano and synthesisers really inspired me to sing out more, to seek out the implied harmonies, and to find unique approaches within the limitations of my voice." says Von Till.
On “Watch Them Fade”, Von Till’s voice complex melodies with a rich, deep timbre. The lead single is available today alongside a stunning video by Bobby Cochran.
Listen / Share / Watch “Watch Them Fade”

Aside from music, Von Till is a poet (he published his first collection - Harvestman - in 2021) and has a deep bank of poetry and wider writing that he draws on, frequently reflecting on our place within the universe while leaning into themes of loss and longing. Likewise, it is our place in nature and - crucially - our current disconnect from it that prove key to the sonic tapestry woven on Alone in a World of Wounds. The album title itself was inspired by a quote from forester and environmental philosopher Aldo Leopold from his 1949 book A Sand County Almanac, which called for a reimagining of the relationship between people and the natural world (‘one of the penalties of an ecological educations is that one lives alone in a world of wounds’), while - outside of music - Von Till remains equally committed to education (he has been an elementary school teacher for 24 years and also serves on the board of directors for the Firekeeper Alliance non-profit which is committed to reducing suicides among the youth of the Blackfeet Nation in Montana).
While Alone in a World of Wounds may be far removed from the caustic aggression of Neurosis, make no mistake - the life-giving energy of punk rock and DIY ethic continue to provide deep inspiration and grounding to him. The search for deeper connection, living with the sorrow of our separation from the natural world, and relying on gut level instinct to get closer to the primal creative state are all key to Von Till’s process.
“It is the transcendent nature of music, the cathartic healing process where I can leave everything behind and become one with sound. When you allow yourself to go beyond the ordinary you might be fortunate enough to find a moment where you are creating in alignment with the flow of the river of the universe.”
Recorded mostly at his barn studio at home in Idaho and mixed at Circular Ruin in Brooklyn, NY, with storied producer Randall Dunn (Jóhann Jóhannsson, Sunn O))), Earth, Jim Jarmusch), Alone in a World of Wounds also boasts cover artwork from Spokane, WA based alternative process photographer Brian Deemy - who works with colloidal wet plate ‘tintype’ aesthetics, which compliment Von Till’s uniquely ancient yet grounded aesthetic, and one that perfectly matches his desire to reimagine the connection between the human and the more than human world.
“I often wonder where the psychological break was that caused the fatal delusion that we have dominion over the natural world, how it is reduced to existing solely for our benefit. Whenever that disconnect was - I believe it to be the root of most of our problems as a society, in relationships, and even within ourselves and our own minds. It always comes back to the fact that we must have a conscious shift back to understanding that we’re all part of a living animate earth: and that we need to think of the rivers and the mountains and the weather as part of us and us as part of the world. We are wild things but we’ve forgotten. Without this shift in consciousness we’re screwed. That’s the overarching theme. And when I look back on my life it’s becoming more explicit and more clear that this is always what I’ve been singing about”

The Bug Club’s On the Intricate Inner Workings of the System… is out now worldwide from Sub Pop. The album, which features feel-good ditties “Quality Pints,” and “Lonsdale Slipons,” was produced and mixed by Tom Rees at Rat Trap Studios in Cardiff, Wales, and mastered by Mikey Young.
On the Intricate Inner Workings of the System sees the band serve up a beefy slab of their signature Modern-Lovers-meets-Nuggets garage rock, featuring B-52’s call-and-response fun mixed with AC/DC power chord grunt (read more at Sub Pop).
The album and its singles saw support from the likes of NME, BBC, KEXP, Bandcamp Daily, Brooklyn Vegan, PASTE, Stereogum, SeeSaw, Dusted, The Stranger Rosy Overdrive, Glide, and more. NME said, “…its 11 songs crackle with incisive melodies and funny pop culture-addled lyrics – they reference The Great Escape’s Virgil Hilts one minute, and move on to the horror of Lonsdale slip on daps the next – but they’re in and out in under 26 minutes. Zero fat.”
The Bug Club’s On the Intricate Inner Workings of the System… is available on CD/LP/DSPs from the Sub Pop Mega Mart (North America), Mega Mart 2 (UK/EU), and independent retailers worldwide.

TOUR DATES KICK OF NEXT MONTH

DMV-by-way-of-the-U.K. punk duo Teen Mortgage announced their debut album, Devil Ultrasonic Dream, last month, and today they’re back with a new offering, “Party.” The track arrives alongside a D’ana Bugs-directed video. Filmed in hell with a live studio audience of demons and ghouls, the band barrels through the song via a JBTV-emulated performance.

Available April 11 via Roadrunner Records, the album’s title, Devil Ultrasonic Dream, leans into the 1980s-era satanic panic in rock and roll—especially as the country lurches further into Christian theocracy and censorship. “Devil Ultrasonic Dream,” explains frontman James Guile, “is about realizing a fantasy that Christian fascists don’t understand or want you to have. The devil—Satan—has always been a symbol of counterculture.” The song follows first single “Box.”
The band recently announced a U.S. tour in support of the album. Kicking off April 8 in Richmond, VA, the 26-date run will make stops in Atlanta, Los Angeles (a second show was just added with the sellout of the first date), San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, New York, and more before concluding May 17 in Baltimore. Tickets for the tour are on sale now. Support will include Babe Haven, Spoon Benders, and Upchuck on select dates. Tickets to all shows can be found here.
Originally from England, Guile had been toying with the Teen Mortgage project under various monikers for years, crafting a sound steeped in sociopolitical commentary and built for the mosh pit, heavily influenced by classic ’80s punk. After relocating to Maryland five years ago, he connected with drummer (and former nurse) Edward Barakauskas via a Craigslist ad. Since then, the duo have spent years building Teen Mortgage’s presence in the DMV scene. In between a global pandemic and Barakauskas serving as an ER frontline worker, they managed to drop an EP and a string of singles before signing to Roadrunner Records in 2024. Teen Mortgage has earned support slots with a stacked list of artists, from Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, OFF!, and Alkaline Trio to Hotline TNT, Die Spitz, Wine Lips, and more.

TEI SHI
SHARES NEW SINGLE AND VISUAL
ANNOUNCES TWO SPECIAL WEST COAST SHOWS

Today, Canadian-Colombian indie pop auteur Tei Shi makes a powerful return with her latest single and first offering of the year, “Best Be Leaving”, a deeply personal and introspective track that touches on the inevitability of letting go. The empowering and cathartic track signals a new creative era for Tei Shi, offering a glimpse into a new body of work born from a transformative retreat. Coinciding with today’s news, Tei Shi has announced two special headlining shows this Spring: Pappy & Harriet’s in Joshua Tree on May 15th and the Constellation Room in Santa Ana on May 16th. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 AM local time. Purchase tickets here.
“‘Best Be Leaving’ is a song about letting go of someone you love. It's about the lonely fact that sometimes relationships hit a place where the best thing you can do is walk away.” Tei Shi reflects. “Throughout life we're all saying goodbye to or walking away from someone at any given moment...it's part of navigating our lives and the world, and for me that was real in a few different, important relationships in my life when I wrote the song. ‘Best Be Leaving’ is kind of my bittersweet soundtrack to that realization.”
Written during a week-long creative retreat in the backwoods of Vancouver Island, Canada, “Best Be Leaving” showcases Tei Shi’s fusion of ethereal melodies with her signature whisper-laden vocals, raw lyricism, and evocative production, done alongside longtime collaborators Noah Beresin and Tommy English. The accompanying visualizer serves as a symbolic act of catharsis as we see Tei Shi shedding her long hair in front of the camera during the creation of the song’s artwork. Embracing the song’s meaning, an ever-evolving Tei Shi steps into a bold new and fully independent artistic era.

The single follows a run of intimate, sold-out jazz club performances in New York and Los Angeles, where she reimagined her catalog and performed covers and standards alongside prolific jazz musicians on both coasts. It comes on the heels of her critically acclaimed eponymous independent album Valerie, and a sold-out five-show run in New York City, where she captivated audiences in I Can’t Make Sense, a gripping new play written by her friend and collaborator, Vogue Giambri. The play was inspired by Giambri’s personal experience of losing her mother in 2023 while on tour with Tei Shi, supporting Kimbra.
Building on the momentum of Valerie and her theatrical debut, Tei Shi carves out her own space in the musical landscape. Known for weaving vulnerability into lush, genre-bending soundscapes, Tei Shi seamlessly blends pop, R&B, indie shoegaze, tropicalia, and bachata influences with dynamic storytelling and bilingual lyricism, further solidifying her place as one of today’s most intriguing and compelling artists.
