Saturday Book Share!
Today I am going to RAVE RAVE RAVE about an author I love. Lexi Blake. A few Saturdays ago I recommended a novella called UNCONDITIONAL and today I’m recommending her entire Masters and Mercenaries series … you can start at Book 1 or you can pick up her newest DUNGEON ROYALE … your choice. I have to say DUNGEON ROYALE was an all time favorite for me. Yes, it’s BDSM flavored so go in with your eyes open. 5 Plus Stars!

Coming Soon: Dare to Love in Audio
First, I want to say that even if I don’t post in the comments, I am reading every single note and I am so so happy I started this blog! I appreciate that you’re starting to make this a daily stop. Keep visiting!
I’m very excited to 
tell you that DARE TO LOVE really is COMING SOON in Audio book! I admit that I, myself, am not an audio listener. I found the whole concept of finding a narrator very overwhelming. I wasn’t even going to rush into starting the process. And then a friend recommended Sophie Eastlake. I looked into her. She’s read for Thea Harrison and JoAnn Ross in past books. She’s been nominated for an Audie Award. I listened and I liked the sound of her voice. Good enough for me!
We talked, I hired her. I figured I would try one book and see how it sells, if it’s worth it to do the rest of the series. So Sophie sent me the first 15 minutes to approve before going on to the rest. This wasn’t just the very first time I’d “heard” my own work, this was the first time I’d heard ANYONE’S work on audio. It was a surreal experience for me. The first thing that jumped out at me (and that I hadn’t given any advance thought to, and probably should have) was the male / hero speaking. When I heard the narrator lower her voice, to be honest, I freaked out. I took to Twitter and FB and asked those who were audio listeners if this was what they preferred — 98 % of those who responded said yes, when it’s done well – how else can they tell who’s talking!? (Duh! I never thought of that point!) I then asked a good friend and reader I trust to listen to the 15 minutes and give me her take. She raved. Yay! I felt so much better.
So now DARE TO LOVE is almost complete in audio! That means I’m going to have to listen and proof the entire thing. ACK! But it’s been a very exciting experience for me … and I hope those of you who listen to audio will love the narrator and the story!

Guess what else? My Invitation to Eden book is a part of the DARE TO LOVE Series too! It’s not a brother or sister, it’s a cousin. It’s also a very special story to me because I started writing it, the book of my heart, while my dad was very ill and I needed a break from every day work. It’s first person … which I have never done before … and I just am so excited to get back to writing it. Of course I have to finish Alex’s story (Dare to Desire – 4/10/14). But here is DARE TO SURRENDER – Gabe and Isabelle – 7/15/14 – INVITATION TO EDEN!!
I hope to have preorders available in the future for this story but the FREE PREQUEL to the series Master of the Island by the fantastic Lauren Hawkeye will be available for purchase in eBook at all online retailers. It’s up to individual authors whether they’ll do print. I definitely will!

Just … Ugh
Since I started the blog, I posted for the week on Sunday. Well, yesterday was a travel day for me. It’s February school break and we’re on a family vacation in Florida. Given all the snow in NY, I’ve had headache issues thanks to the barometric pressure changes. Last night, I ended up with a migraine and was up half the night with cold clothes and ice on my head. 4:30 alarm, 6:30 flight … and no brilliant blog today.
This pic shows I’m willing to take one for the team and show me at my worst. And no, this wasn’t last night but clearly I’ve been there, done that before so … yeah. Just ugh.
Anyone else a migraine person?
