Welcome Guest Blogger Susan Mallery!

How exciting that I get to dedicate my Thursday to an amazing contemporary romance author? Susan Mallery and I don't know each other well, but our paths have crossed over the years, and I believe we share a mutual respect and of course love of the genre. I'll be spending more time with Susan at Rom Com in Denver this July and I'm looking forward to it very much! Susan I and recently "met" again on Twitter … and so it's so amazingly coincidental that the subject of her blog today is...

Happy 4th Anniversary to US!

It seems like 4 years went by in the blink of an eye! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to all the PLOTMONKEY family – and that includes all of YOU – even the ones who weren't around way back when we started in April 2006. When one of us (can't remember who) suggested we revisit our first week of posts, I thought "that'll be fun!" I didn't realize that it would really tell me how much time had passed and how much had changed!!! Even those of you who haven't been around from day 1 will read this first post ...

Carly and The Artist's Way

[image error]There is a book known to artists called THE ARTIST'S WAY … I believe it's all artists, writers, painters, all creative people. I know nothing about it except people rave about the journey of using it. Recently, I joined a Pilates gym (I think I mentioned it to you) and part of the membership is a meeting with a life coach. We met and spoke about my life, impediments to working out, what I do, and of course the writing came up. A week later, she called to tell me the gym is offering a 12 w...

Welcome Jungle Guest Larissa Ione!!!

I wish I could take complete credit for finding today's guestblogger's books, but I can't. All I can take credit for is asking her to blog. Credit for finding her books goes to Janelle
. Those of you in the jungle who know me well know I read what I write and that's contemporary. I've even been known to be a paranormal snob
I know now that is because we're afraid of what we don't understand and maybe even intimidated by great talent. When Janelle (who also pretty much only reads...

Pot Pourri (of Pilates, Writing & Knitting)

Sometimes I do a mish mash of topics because I don't have a specific subject to discuss, so I jump around. Today I have so much to say, that I have to jump around! Let's start here:
Pilates
I joined a Pilates gym. I have never done Pilates. I have done Yoga but I didn't find it worked me hard enough and I didn't do it consistently enough. So I finally said, I'm a blob (funny how I notice this more now that I am knitting than I did before when I was writing and online surfing, but it's the ...

Be Careful What You Wish For – Redux

I'm switching days with Julie this week (for those of you who keep track!) She'll be here tomorrow!
So.
Two weeks ago, I posted Be Careful What You Wish For. It's hard to believe it's only been two weeks since the snowstorm from hell that knocked out my power for 36 hours, froze us, we lost a fortune in food from the fridge and freezer, paid for a new alarm battery (nearly $1,000 for all work) … etc. Because this past weekend, we had the Nor 'easter from Hell … and it happened ALL OVER...
