I didn't notice or care about the gender/political discourse in this series when I first read it 5 years ago. xD

This book is so consistent! It has the following features:

1. A flowery cover
2. Characters named after flowers (and can magically grow flowers)
3. Flowery language

Surprisingly, the instalove in this book doesn't bother me too much.

Are there actually zombies in this book? xD I hope I won't have another nightmare about Train to Busan. :p

So far, I really like the sexual and racial diversity in this book. I'm just confused by all the names and elements of magical realism.

Isobel is a painter like Feyre. Rook seems to be a combination of Tamlin and Rhysand. I didn't expect that this book would be ACOTAR (or Beauty and the Beast) all over again.
