This is the most deliberately triggering book I've ever encountered. I don't mean that in a bad way. Just stay away if you're a sensitive reader.

A thing I loved about Mara immediately, though—she looked back at me completely without pity.

One of the characters in this book was almost "killed" after his pet cat knocked over a burning candle. Why do I feel so happy about that? Hahaha. #CatLover
