okay so TEMPER JUST BLASTED A PORTAL AND CAME INTO THE OTHERWORLD IN ALL HER FLAMING GLORY AAAA. that was immaculate. obvs callie stopped her from killing anyone. then temper met malaki and LSJSSK i just NEED them to be a thing. and DES AGREED TO THEM GOING TO SOLTISICE. also they’re finally catching onto the idea that karnon could’ve had someone else possess to do all those bad things.

so they went to arestys the poorest island and he told her it’s where he lived then he should her the cave he was raised in and i CRIED tysm. then he told her that his mom died in the cave and he blames his father. okay so DES IS TAKING HER ON A TOUR OF THE ISLANDS and the first one they went to was phyllia and it’s the land of dreams and shows her around and it’s SO CUTE. then the next day they TRAIN. then they go to barbos the city of thieves and AHAHAH she starts walking and groans that she thinks he broke her ass during training. okay so this fauna fae came and and des FED HIM TO THE BOG bc he threatened to harm his subjects. callie feels like there’s so much she doesn’t know about des. so she goes to the royal library and reads up about him and sees that he was born into a ROYAL HAREM. AND THEN HE COMES AND SHE ASKED HIM IF HE HAS A ROYAL HAREM AND IF HE DOES SHE’LL LEAVE HIM. but he doesn’t thank god. and now they’re gonna fly AAA

okay i only JUST started but THERE IS A TRAINING SCENE BC NOW ITS A REPAYMENT AND IM SKSJSKD SO EXCITED FOR MORE SCENES. also i only just met malaki but i KNOW i’m going to LOVE him. I MEAN. mans is BUILT. HAS DEEP OLIVE SKIN. AN EYE PATCH. AND HE’S THE LORD OF DREAMS?!!! SAY LESS.

BUT YEAH I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH. CANT WAIT TO READ THE NEXT BOOK. IM SO GLAD THE STORY DOESNT END HERE. also des is a combination of rhys and rowan and it’s DEADASS PERFECTION. rhys’ wings, wit and sarcasm. rowan’s hair, tattoos, and ruthlessness. this book was perfectly paced. PERFECTLY SPIOCAYYY🌶. had such beautiful lines and really funny ones too. ugh. i’m attached. mwah love des and callie tysm.

okay so she went into the codex but then the book turned into a malefict so nathaniel turned it back into a grimoire. NATHANIEL FIXED THE MIRROR AND NOW ELISABETH AND KATRIEN CAN TALK 24/7. OH AND THEY ALL MET KATRIEN AND HER AND SILAS TALKED ALONE AND I WANNA KNOW WHAT THEY SAID. but now they have a plan to try and defeat ashcroft by calling him out at the ball. MWAHAHAHA

okay so she figured out here the book is in the library, but it’s in the RESTRICTED SECTION. silas gave her a package from master hargrove and demonslayer and her key was in it 🥺 and silas told her about nathaniel’s father and what happened and i CRIED. he also decided he’d help her steal the book. MWHAHAHAHAHA

she went and got a job as a servant at the royal library bc katrein told her she would have to try and steal the grimoire identical to the one that ashcroft. this way she could find out what he’s up to and stop him from attacking the library in harrows!!

okay so she told nathaniel everything after she woke up and he’s like okay and what :) you don’t have proof of anything that ashcroft is doing so like we can’t do shit. i’ll just make sure you go back to the great library and she’s like no IMMA FIGHT and he’s like you’ll die and she’s like GOOD. so this is getting INTENSE

okay so she faked fainting to talk to the grimoire that ashcroft had and then they sent her to the hospital and she ESCAPED and MR. HOB CAME and she escaped with this girl called mercy. so cute. then she was living on the streets for a few days. the library refused her. she was being chased by men and SILAS CAME TO HER RESCUE. then he took her to nathaniel and he’s being a bitch boy and not admitting his feelings.

okay so THEY FOUGHT THE FEINDS AND IT WAS IMMACULATE TAG TEAM OF ELISABETH, NATHANIEL AND SILAS. then nathaniel took her to ashcroft and she’s been excused from her alleged crimes. BUT APPARENTLY HIM AND HIS DEMON ARE THE ONES THAT KILLED THE DIRECTOR AND RELEASED THE MALEFICT. BUT THEY DONT KNOW SHE KNOWS!!! WHAAAATTTT?!?!

okay so LOVE ELISABETH so much happened i love katrein and ugh i’m so sad the director is dead and that they’re blaming elisabeth. also nathaniel is WOW sarcastic and FOINE and i like silas but omg WHAT IS HE?? I NEED TO KNOW!! but yeah love it so far like wow she’s a librarian that kicks demonic books and demons ass. LITERALLY WHAT I WANT TO BE TYSM

okay so i’ve been just taking it all in. and i’m disappointed to say the least. cath had so many opportunities to avoid their untimely fates. she didn’t listen to hatta and look where that got them. jest dead. her queen of hearts. hatta mad. and raven an executioner. she had the power to keep jest from harm. jes who is a gift to the world. and she messed up. also the book was slow. and i’m just annoyed now.

oh my god. okay so i didn’t know that this was like a prequel of the queen of hearts story and i see it now. i’m so sad that jest is dead, but oh my god this all makes so much SENSE. ugh that was a good read. i’m HEARTBROKEN. but it was a good read. thank you and good fucking night.
