I’m loving this. But I’m reading very slowly. I bet it’s fun hearing it too!

161 - Magna and Vanessa fight Luck. Asta comes too. As his friends they can’t give up on him resisting the elf.

This is charming! I really like how we explore the other characters, the suspects. And Gamache was so tough with Ruth when she banged her cane. Wow I thought.

This is wonderfully fast paced. I like the girl and you take immediate umbrage to Dr Gibson for her sake. Though I think he’ll turn out to be not so bad, hopefully.

The story has seriously slowed down and I’ve lost m reading momentum. I’m not sure I care enough about Grace (the one I like the most) to keep reading.

So many women!! While I like that I’m eager to get back to the first two. I’m not too interested in the young pregnant girl or the new Harriett.

Intriguing with the different women.

Ahhh poor uncle Pio and the little boy!

Esteban made me sob. The nun and the captain well understood what he was feeling and tried their best for him. At least he waited to die by the Lord’s hand. I love twins.

I feel so sad that Pepita made such a change in the Marchesa and then neither lived. And the nun lost the girl that would have made a lovely successor. The fact that the Marchesa’s letters became so well known is fascinating.

Love the opening (part1). So wonderfully written so one idea builds upon another in a charming way to form the entire picture of what we’re in for by reading this tiny book.

I really like this sweet innocent boy.

Fairly predictable but still able to keep the tension high.

She barely survived the crematorium. She’s exhausted possibilities for the stomach virus. And Tip goes down. I’m pretty much setup for the finish. I’m curious about the Prince. And the hints about our friend and love interest.

I’m enjoying this but I find the ordeals rather dull.

So we finished setup at 25% and it’s pretty crazy how we meet the rebel queen. And by 27% we’re jumping right into the premise of the ordeals. Kinda anticlimactic. But I have yet to read his she survived.

I was pulled in by that opening chapter wondering how she got caught but not her brother. We get a lot of telling how she survived 10 years and became the prison healer and spy for the warden. We meet the boy and of course you are intrigued by how unusual he is. As well as the female guard. And you fell for her friend Tipp.

I like Mr S. He’s a good guy for a solicitor. I can’t say im surprised what she wants to do.

Their time together on the island didn’t last long. And she didn’t tell him about her dad. So when they were dragged back he ended up leaving feeling she wouldn’t understand. She finally looked up her mother too.

I really like Fischer. And the dog Dodge.

Her dad kept her quite protected.

Strong prologue. Makes you want to learn about her and what happened.

This read a bit too much like a biography. A touch boring and a bit dry in many places. Better writing would have done wonders. However the heart of the story is present and well done. None of these ladies’ lives were perfect but they were real.

Sylvia made me the most sad. Her husband didn’t seem like a gambler but at home he was. And she didn’t think she could make it without him. It made me terribly sad.

Lyn probably moved me the most with her Polio struggle and panic attacks. The poor alcoholic girl (Margaret?) had three children before she left and went back to England. I admired her for facing that and going back.

Ahhhh Rae’s happy ending made me laugh! I’m glad she realized she was too close to that little boy and needed to leave.

Gahhhhh this has gotten rather boring. There are these passages that are obviously just historical regurgitation. And they drag the story down. The writing style is bad enough where we’re just told what’s happening rather then really getting to experience it. I was okay with it at first but it takes away any tension about what’s going to happen next. It’s going to be a struggle to finish this.

Charmy fought the last and as against some vain hair girl... of course we know who won...

Luck, and Leo successfully fight battles, using their training with the spirit guardians. Leo’s battle was especially neat as he constantly compares to his older siblings.

We learn what Dante wants once Yami appears. He can contend with this guy a bit more than his peeps. The spirit guardians are being over run and killed. It’s looking dim.
