how did I forget about Cannonball omg

I love how with the first book I could quite literally quote parts of it, and remembered almost every scene, and then I started this one and the inciting incident happened and my reaction was "wait, WHAT?"

all of a sudden what I do remember of this book makes a lot more sense but like . . . wow @ my brain

this is legitimately terrifying, I wasn't expecting it to get so creepy

this book hurts so much more, reading it and realizing these characters are even younger than I am

I literally read this so long ago that I never even added it on goodreads, and that is genuinely wild for me. also explains why I remember pretty much nothing

this is genuinely so nostalgic I cannot like damn, this was my CHILDHOOD, might have been my first really huge favourite tbh, and I just! gah so much of it is so clever!
