This world is so bleak. I can't imaging not being able to speak freely. The microsuits and InstaSuits don't faze me as much, since Americans are hellbent on suing each other for the most trivial things. But it's still scary to think that this could happen if we tried hard enough.

Very interesting so far. The main character, Speth, is unrelatable due to her lack of dialogue and innate "unremarkable"-ness. But everyone else is intriguing.

This bitch is a psychopath...although, I kinda don't blame her for fucking up Nadine's chance at getting that heart. Nadine was a bitch, too.

I was not expecting much of this story happening at the cardiac center.

The way Shanna communicates is really (fucking) annoying.

"The clinical nature of our relationship doesn't bother me, the hard and fast definitions of what we are to each other reading more like a contractual agreement than anything bordering on affection."

The twist is that she's a robot, right? She has no affection for her boyfriend since 8th grade and has established a superiority complex over all other peers in this third chapter.

Her dad tried to get her to consider an economics major, so in retaliation for pestering her, she took their phone bill, highlighted all the calls he made to an unfamiliar number around the time he got off work, and mailed it to his office with a passive-aggressive note. This girl is a sociopath.

"School is a process, a series of hoops to be jumped through, set at the appropriate heights for whoever the jumper is. Mine are high....It has been determined that I am capable of performing at that level. All I have to do is prove it."

There's something about the way Sasha is written that makes me think she's full of herself. And we're only on the second chapter.

This is getting really boring.

I am steadily growing bored, and this makes me sad.

I'm finding it really hard to concentrate on this story because while it's written well, the main character isn't relatable.

Is this story going anywhere?

I love Phoebe Strole's work but these accents aren't good. Max sounds more Russian than German and Calliope's English accent is way too spread out. It's jarring.

Atlas described Avery as "unique" because he disagreed that she's "New York's Princess". Uhhhh....she's literally the blandest character in this series. Leda's mom has more character. The reporter has more character. Avery Fuller is boring af.

Just as gripping as the first one. The drama is juicy. It's a small world, and I kinda like that everyone KINDA knows everyone, but not really. I'm excited to see where this goes.

In hindsight, letting more than a year pass between the first book and this wasn't such a good idea. There were so many characters to keep track of, so I'm not entirely sure who I'm rooting for.

Really not looking forward to any Miles chapters. Done with repetition. I just want this to be over.

I'll be honest, I'm not even paying attention anymore. The audiobook is just playing in my ear. This book lost me around chapter 20 or something.

I am looking forward to knowing how all of these lives tie in together.

I kinda want a separate book for some of these lives.
