the pacing is fast...until it's not idk how to explain it

Giving this another try after DNF'ing the first time. I promptly fell asleep after chapter 3. When I woke up, it was ch 10 and I decided to continue without backtracking. Apparently, those chapters in between don't matter because I don't feel lost.

These two are kinda bland
