Once again the action starts virtually from page 1, no slow build up straight into the action.

Quite a frightening concept that environmental changes can cause changes to mankind which trigger changes in animals. Can't wait to see how the story ends.

As always with James Patterson there is no long winded introduction you are straight in to the story and being introduced to the key characters within the first two to three chapters. Looking forward to spending an hour or so with the book on the train journey home.

The surprises keep on coming. Why did Stannis appear north of the Wall to defeat Mance?
Arya finds a backbone and kills the Tickler and then leaves the Hound to die alone.

The games continue. King Joffrey suffers the fate he deserves. Jaime returns to Lannister fold, minus his right hand and the plotting continues. George continues to keep your interest.

The big day has arrived Joffrey is to wed. Everything is going well for the Lannister's. It's about time something went wrong. Hopefully.

Treachery abounds in the north. Again George does not hesitate to kill off key characters.

The Lannister's outwit the Tully's and marry Sansa to Tyrion.

Jaime Lannister has just paid the price for his arrogance. The bad news is Brienne will also have to pay a price.

The story gathers pace has Brienne brings Jaime to Kings Landing.

The action is starting to hot up

The threat is being to come real. People are being killed .
I do love the Jack Ryan books

A flying start, the first question to be answered is when will Jack Ryan, Jr wake up and realise he is being spied on?

On the sixth short story, Sons of the Hawk, as good a read as any by Robert E Howard.

Still working my way through Three Bladed Doom.

Tyrion proved both his cleverness and his courage in the battle for King's Landing but is denied recognition because his father arrived to end the battle. Theom Greyjoy has shown his true wrth, a cheat and liar.

The story jst goes on. King's Landing is now under direct threat and Sansa is now ready to wed Joffrey. Although not willingly.
What waits above the Wall?

The situation in King's Landing is getting desperate yet King Joffrey still acts like the spoily child he is.
The Onion King glimpses for himself the true extent of the dark magic being used on behalf of King Stannis.

Story beginning to pick up pace. Robb Stark won the first battle and Lord Stannis using magic to kill Renly.
My favourite character has to be Tyrion. Despite all his disadvantages he manges to come out on top.

The plotting is still going on and now Lord Stannis is attacking his brother Renlys army.

slow start picking up the threads from the first book.

Enjoying the various stories.

A good variety of short stories expanding the Ring of Fire universe.

Tom Clancy at his best. Bringing back Jack Ryan Snr was a master stroke.

Another excellent addition to the Kim Newman itinery of alternate Dracula novels. The idea of human fighters rather than bi and triplanes is good.

The question is who is the killer? The expose is getting closer.

Victor demonstrates again and again why he is the best in the business at what he does. But he loses a colleague towards the end.
