Lincoln is now dead and the book gives a full and detailed account of his lingering death. Very little about the actual assassination.
Followed by detailed account of the autopsy and now the planning for the funeral.

Jefferson Davies and the confederate cabint continue to retreat with no desire to surrender. Unfortunately General lee has surrendered the Army of North Virginia so the game is up.
Abraham Lincoln is enjoying a play at Ford's theatre, but John Wilkes Booth as entered the theatre.
