Finding the book easier to read. There are two separate stories being told, which I have no doubt will come together at some point.

Finding this a difficult read. The modern day stuff is good but the historic side is a little depressing.

Cotton thwarts Josephe by purchasing the first edition Book of the Mormon.

Cotton is finding out more about the Mormons and Danites as the mystery becomes clear. He is now off to Saltzburg to a book auction.

He has identified which devil and finally finds his half sister and he is in afor a shock.
Again the more he tries the more his quest is blocked by the devil

Story continues to develop the relationship between maggie and Scott.
Pressure is being brought to bear on Scott because he is creating waves and perhaps finding a way to solve the case.

New challenge for Payne and Jones. Called in by the military to investigate what happened to one of their former team mates.

Their are two principal characters in this book. Maggie a German Shepherd and Scott an LA cop. The first two chaptrs fill ijn the background and sets the scene for how they come together. The bonding between the two is great, especially the chapter written from maggie's POV.

The race is on to rescue Jasmine. her first attempt at escape has cost three Berbers their lives.

The Hunters have just learnt the identity of their enemies the Muharib.these enemies are ruthless and have no regard for human live. To safeguard their secrets they were prepared to destroy an entire city block by blowing up the cisterns. Thousands lost their lives.
