I wish that when a woman in a book has unwanted sexual advances, kissing groping etc, and someone said “did he hurt you” WHEN SHE CRIED the heroine would respond “yes”

The answer is YES. He didn’t listen, you had to bite him, he grabbed your arm, your boob, and for FFS that’s “hurting.”

Last book on my too long KU tour for at least a few months.

Can’t tell if I’m bored or crabby

This is where I slow down...busy work week incoming and this book I just reread a year ago and it...hurts.

Looking for a quick and light contemporary to balance the complex romances I'm reading... One more try on this new author.

This book is a constant punch in the feels.

When it comes to diversity, I frequently see white authors complain that getting into the head of a character of colour is too difficult for them. Now, while I’m a black woman, writing Laura didn’t blow my mind. Probably because she’s a human being, like all my other characters. I hope that helps.
