I love Rapunzel's caring and energetic nature usually, but for a twisted tale where she's supposed to KILL people I wish she would actually be a little evil, not the same Rapunzel we know. Also needs more Flynn, he FINALLY showed up. New character Gina is okay, has more chemistry with Flynn tho

There's a little shoutout to the theory that Raps and Anna&Elsa are cousins - she looks at the symbols or the Sami people, imagining them as her friends/cousins! So cute
Kind of weird they have this depressing interlude with the girl dying of cancer, feel like its unnecessary to put in there for a retelling, none of the other books had this as far as i know

oh this is SO cute. Reality TV, plus size lead romance, fashion, and a Cinderella retelling!!! I love how the step sisters aren't really evil or anything like that, just a little ditzy maybe. And a prince charming she actually meets before lol

Yoooo I didn't know the guy who narrates Bromance Book Club read parts of this!!! Already it's funny and set up to be cute and a good amount of drama. And unlearning some toxic masculinity.

Definitely better than Slaying Vampires, a plot is actually happening! The unreliable narrator also works better here, a paranoid survivor of horror movie slashers. Though its kind of confusing about why there are horror movies based off these real horrible events that happen to these women.

Darcy is a bit hard to like tbh, she's pretty stuck up, but I also understand. She loves pretty fiercely, and I love how she hypes up Elle in front of her family.
