Well, I'm actually liking this one a bit! The focus is all on Jason and his involvement with Death of the Family which I vaguely remember...with a little side story with Roy and Kori helping out Joker's victims. Very interesting to see what this helmet bomb scarring is all about

i think a lot of people reviewing this are mistaking "complicated characters" for "characters who are afraid of something and never shut up about how they're afraid of it."

this will be for all of Batman: Pieces storyline.
Love any story with Harvey, plus Riddler and his "daughter" a&//whoever Catgirl is supposed to make me care for. Seems like any other annoying Robin, not sure why Dick and Bruce want her gone

Literally everything she does is selfish. She is trying to get her best friend to marry a guy she knows isnt right for her just to break her "bad luck bridesmaid streak" -- while constantly calling her old bf new girl a whore and fake. She's only confident when its quirky, pathetic every other time, and needlessly crass because its "real and funny"

UUUGGGGHHH she literally "hands over her feminist card" bc she sees her old boyfriend with another woman, and only refers to this new woman as a "perfect body". They are trying so hard for me not to like this woman

Well, being in Gotham again is fun. A little more of Jason's rebooted past - a crime lord in Hong Kong of all places because? Who cares at this point. Again Kori and Roy are just following along with Jason because? Also Barbara isn't oracle in this universe which...okay. but apparently jason started to have a good relationship with Tim yay!

FINALLY getting to know and care for Roy and Kori a bit more. The fondest memories bit was a great look into them - even if I don't like Kori's sexualization and characterization so far. But that moment with them in the snow as he tries to protect her was pretty good! Not sure what to make of Jason, he's pent on revenge but also loyal to these all caste people? not sure about it

Not really into all these ass and tit shots of Kori...its gross and the fact that she's boring doesn't make up for it lol - not sure how I feel about Jason being trained by aliens? Otherworldly beings? And considering them more family than the batfam

While I like her actual personality, she's a bit too Girl Boss Not Like Other Girls for me. She's one of those people who has a "looking like I didn't try" look where she actually puts a lot of effort in. She's constantly referring to any man she works with as a "straight white MALE" which gives off such terfy vibes. Like the jewish background and the actual romance aspect of this

Not buying the Undernet lol it's just an even more complicated version of the dark web but also like the Matrix? I will not be expending brainpower to understand it lol but the art looked fun in that old style. And I love Tam as always

This is kind of all over the place so far, just her talking about her friends relationships, how they disastrously ended, how she Oh So Special Feminist (and kind of terfy language, but ill give the author the benefit of the doubt) and how she's not super in love w/the perfect Ryland

Loving it so far, not sure why this isn't recommended more often. Love Tim's sense of humor and conflict with Dami and Dick

I guess this will just be my record of reading this whole riddle me this storyline because I can't really find the volume that has it

IG DC didn't really care about the Spider Storyline much either considering it was split between this and the last volume. IT was okay - I liked Tim's total super-ninja Batman moment where he fight all the Council of Spiders on his own. Plus blowing up all of the League of Ass. information because he could was pretty badass. Looking forward to return to Gotham

I liked Tam! She as Lucius daughter is taking the whole thing remarkably well - also I definitely skipped some event between vol 1and 2 (whatever this Black Lantern thing was, but is the way of reading comics. I'll just have to fill in the gaps). Story around Vitoria is interesting too, plus Tim trying to keep assassins from killing all his leads

I am once again asking for DC to GIVE TIM A BREAK
does a very good job of making him isolated - partly because of his own fault and absolute belief that Bruce isn't dead (which is right, but im not sure how he knows this lol). The convo with Cassie HURTED, basically the last person he would attempt to open up to. I hope things with Dick aren't painful in the finale lol

I'm really liking the sad vibe of this - missed chances and tension between them. Plus any book that's about writing a book is giving me Beach Read vibes, which I loved

oooooohhhh i am liking this one already. they call it twisted clue and i love it! 3xploring more of Wayne Manor and all this crazy family history - plus Damian being manipulated by his mother, worried if Bruce coming back will hinder his progress as Robin. Love what's going on here

I think I would enjoy this way more if it actually jsut focused on Zhu - when she interacts with other characters its super interesting and I love her determination, and exploration of gender without really realizing it. The rivalry with the eunuch is great, but too much time is devoted to the enemy side, that has too many similar names I can't keep track of it all

I've been loving the mutual pining but in denial about pining - even though they're sleeping together and Dani is incredibly oblivious to her own feelings. I think the last 20% of this has just been them having sex and denying that she has feelings, and Zaff lamenting over him catching feelings for her

AAHHH I just love this prose! I'm just so sucked in to this little village - Hobble is so smart and observant. She knows the Romans bring wealth but also ego and brutality. But Fox is also on a high horse and commands the same respect, without providing anything useful. So far their religion hasn't been threatened, but as a runt she doesn't want sacrifices anyway. Its intricate and fascinating

I get that they're spending more time with each other but the whole "masturbating in front of each other as a challenge" came out of nowhere lol I did not know we were at this point??

Okay yeah this is just as cute as I thought it would be. It's a sort of sunshine/grump - but more like Perfectionist/happy competitor - with a cute lumpy golden retriever who only listens to 1 person.

God I can't really say why but this just sucks me in so much! I love Devout's love triangle, Smith's struggles both as a young and older man, and Hobble now going on this journey to the trading market to keep herself safe! The prose is just!!!

awesome tone, really feels like iron age boonies. Love the customs of Maiden's night and the simple worries of a girl, which man will take a liking to her.

A trend I'm noticing with these Greek retellings is that they read too much like fanfic. The author expects you to know these characters already as if this is fanfic, not barely based on mythology where there are more players rather than actual characters. Hades is just a brooding king, but I don't see him doing anything. Why do they like each other??

I like her spunk. The world is a little under developed, and its taking a bit for this bargain to feel like it has stakes - but I have a feeling when they can actually interact it's gonna get good

I just love their dynamic. Olivia's insecurities make sense, and Margot is just a bit dense for not picking up on her worries for the relationship. I still think the of reason for them splitting up as teens is a little weak, but their growing closeness now is great to see. I love Cat and his Plot Reasons for being so smart and cute
