I think this is already hurting itself by revealing that Sarah doesn't really have a reason to tell Alana her story. There's not going to be a grand revelation or a reason she's opening up to Alana specifically. Plus the writing is very train of thought

Aww it's nice to see Ana actually show her care for Din, they have a great dynamic

I like that they make Ana actually weird, not just annoying and mean like Sherlock Holmes-esque characters are sometimes

This is waayyy better than I thought it would be! So many moving parts and characters, plus a very unique scifi/fantasy world, but it's all making sense and the author is very good at avoiding confusion. Very impressed!
