While the reproductions of the maps are gorgeous and it's all around more interesting and wide-reaching than "The Undiscovered Islands" were, there's just still something about the presentation of these lost, imaginary lands that never captivates me. I'm certainly interested, but the facts are just randomly strung together. I know the source material can be haphazard, but the narratives are never there.

We're finally getting somewhere!! It also helps that I finally put on a background of vaporwave to listen to, and that is the exact auditory aesthetic I need to picture some of this a bit better.
