HOLY CALLOWMILK. I never thought it was possible to but a Bosch painting into words, but the "Totentanz" chapter did so PER.FECT.LY. <333333333

I hope there are ice skating spoonbills later on.

VERY thin connections between evidence and conclusions. Lots of interesting tangents, but the actual thesis of the book "who carved the pieces" gets very little page time in this chapter, which was supposedly the purpose of it. It's barely mentioned that anyone else would have been the carver (at least not yet), which is sort of the point of a thesis like this-to prove that other people definitely didn't make them.

Points for the Looney Tunes-esque coffin-chasing "dream" Jerry has. It made up for Stryver's pompous foppery, ughhhh.

.....what is happeninggggg?

I will never complain about reading Shakespeare again... at least when I don't get what's happening there, I still can tolerate the style.

Oyyy, talk about DENSE. Although I do like the Modest Proposal-esque satire/snark in Chapter 1. Here's hoping I'll fall into a rhythm of reading this!
