RETI: 3 stars. Absolutely forgettable as I was reading it.

SHOS: 2.5 stars. A very spooky atmosphere, but that was the best thing about it.

VEIL: 1 star. Wowwwww, sirs (and landlady), that was just rude and unsympathetic AF. Eugenia was right to send you that post.

LION: 3 stars. A fun one, but points docked partially because of animal deahts, and mostly because it was so obvious where this was going, just from the title. Don't go swimming with anything called a lion. Just don't.

CREE: 3 stars. Doyle takes a stab at Dr. Moreau's island and does so in a predictably troubling way, but definitely not as troubling as other stories? There was a good sense of suspense and it gave off strong Night in Lonesome October vibes.

THOR: 2 stars. Long-winded, with unlikable characters, and exactly the same hiding of evidence method as Valley of Fear!

3GAR: 4 stars. This was a fun one, albeit unsurprising in the twist. Also our one on-page glimpse of Holmes showing true emotion and care to Watson.

Finally, the VFD (albeit in reverse) that I've been thinking all along!
