i might need to shelve this one for a while because it's grating on me. too much exposition and not enough plot. also got hit with a variation of that old "let out a breath she didn't know she was holding" chestnut. need a palate cleanser, stat.

this one started off with a bit of a shrug for me, but i'm glad i stuck with it because it's getting interesting.
