Lagging a bit, not as gothic as I'd like, and interesting story. I'm interested to see how it all plays out because there's not a lot of action, just repetitive bullying and differing beliefs.

Interesting storyline so far, much different then expected, but good. I do wish it read a bit more gothic and the physical building/school played a larger role.

Different then I was expecting, a bit of a slow start to the action, but good.

I can so relate to Elise on just about every front, it's almost creepy.

Okay, none of my guesses were correct but some were on line, sort of with what happened. 😆 Really interesting story.

Enjoyable story so far, very cold castle gothic. I'm interested in the genetics/monster aspect. I also, have a few guesses as to events that have or will play out.

Triggers (so far): child death, miscarriages, still birth, inbreading, on page 151, there is mention of gang rape, though short, not detailed or graphic, it's still distributing, especially considering the person involved is a 15 year old child.

So good! I've never read a horror book quite like this before.

Okay, not great. Not much has happened yet. Doesn't feel gothic and I'm not too fond of Ivy (nor any character for that matter). The opening, chapter was the best so far.

I like a lot of action but this is just scene after scene after scene. Disaster after disaster after disaster. The story line has no room to breathe. It's also not about Paradise-1, at least not yet (pg 420) they haven't even gotten close yet, they are still in orbit trying to get communications or contact.

Does read gothic yet but it's quite interesting so far. Feels a bit like Huckleberry Fin for some reason, lol. I have no explanation why though.

Wonder why the author chose these specific characters: Bee, Lucy, Dracula and Rochester?
