Perhaps I’ve been too harsh on pop fiction - so far it’s been pretty ok!

I ALWAYS get to books I promise I get to. Did take 3 years but who’s counting?

Controversial take but the sex scenes (entire appeal of smut genre?) weren’t very well written. I feel like the relationships detract from an otherwise interesting universe with dragons and stuff.

I do enjoy training arc stories, but Violet is a highly insufferable narrator. Just fuck her frenemy and get it over with but then we wouldn’t be able to drag the lover plot on. Her refusal to kill anyone just so lover man can do it for her is incredibly toxic as well.

But I still enjoy training arc stories and will keep reading :/

I can see why Matthew is placed ahead of Mark despite the Marcan Priority. Solid progress with New Testament in a year plan though :)

Gore Vidal continuously reinforces my belief that gay men are the best narrators 10/10 recommend!
