I got a lot of Ghostbusters vibes! And probably because I love The Hollows, I got a touch of a Rachel and Ivy vibe.

started this book march 21, 2025 and started to skim 'cause it's boring... I'm having a hard time understanding why this book has received so many ratings 3 stars and over...

Having a hard time getting into this story... Doesn't flow very well and lacks descriptions.... Telling not showing.

While searching for clues, I enjoyed the book. But can admit I do not like Ana... Worse, as the mystery is solved, Ana tells it (not show)... Sure she has a flare for the dramatic, but it is so boring. (And yeah, I knew who, as soon as they were introduced around the halfway mark, so yeah...)

I'm still not sure if everyone knows about the supernatural and ignores that fact, just accepted it, have no idea, or just don't care...

So slow and the MC, lazy in both character and creation...

DNF/// Kept getting file errors, plus the 4% I got up to was a little boring.. It's 'telling' instead of 'showing'.

I'm not going to feel bad giving up on this one!

Yeah, I still can't keep some of the characters straight. The first few that were introduced, no problem, all of the 6 or whatever that were just dropped, I don't know who they are until a page or two in the chapter when it catches up with what they were doing. (Just about each major character and some a little more minor, have their own chapters).

It's overwhelming, confusing, irritating, and an unenjoyable read.
