This book is good! Funny, dark humor, action, I love it. (Sitting at 4 stars! Will it reach 5?

Hard time staying interested in this one. The pacing, lack of descriptions, and lame dialogue, plus rambling to the point where the story lost direction.

This looks to be my last Scribd/Everand audiobook because I have a new job and will no longer have the hour drive or the 'sneakablitly' during work to listen.

I'm not giving up audiobooks, but will have less chance to listen, so instead of paying, I'll be using Hoopla and/or the Kindle readback option.

Hooked me right away!!! I have already saved the rest of the series (ebooks only available) to Hoopla (not going to have Scribd (Everand) after June 1.

As long as the last half keeps up, this will be one of my best reads of 2024!

OMG.. How old are these people? The whining is what tweens do, but I think they are supposed to be adults. Sure some of it is funny, Hooda's(?) comebacks are funny, but the MC, there is no life in her and it's almost as if she'd be willing to bend over and take it up the ... and say 'oh well'.

And the narrator, her voice is way too 'old' sounding and does not have a great male voice.

This is a rambling, telling, story. Sure there are some descriptions, but I'm bored with this story. I don't care much for the characters, plot, or even the magic. Skimming to finish.
