SO we're about to learn who the protagonist really is and then this book is ending... booooo!

Gosh this guy is really good at losing consciousness and waking up in totally different surroundings.

Finally! Lost this book 4 weeks ago and eventually got another copy. This one is a lot of fun and I will probably read the next.

OOoh this one has promise! Forward by Asimov was interesting.

Alien race with a monopoly on FTL technology...check! Brain-imbedded personal computers...check. Galactic mystery older than homo sapiens... check! The year 2546.... check! Space Opera let's GOOOOO!!!!

shoot this is going to be a series of books where the protagonist slowwwwwly implements modern tech to help a primative society. Meh, I would have likedd to see him get back to the future and learn more about the organization running the time travel. Meh Eehhh.... I'll read the next one maybe...

This book is turning out better than I expected! Dropping socialist ideas and misogyny throughout! And the story is fast and fun so far but why isn’t this guy frraked out after waking up in 1300?

Weeee, this one turned out better than I thought. [SPOILERS} The true lord valentine takes the throne with only a handful of deaths. Then juggles on the throne. Shape-shifter assumed the guise of the king of dreams and sent the KOD's son to usurp the throne and change bodies. Fun stuff, I may read the 2nd if I get the inclanation.

This guy goes from aloof wanderer to usurped coronal, I'm not sure at what point I became hooked but this book is great, I've decided to read the next in series.

So he's got the support of the Lady and Pontifex and he has an army but wants to take the thrown back without violence, good stuff!

Some plot developments are klunky but we having fun juggling!

Ok... I think I'm gonna make it. more desert, more battle, more characters but we're driving home now. should be some big payoffs... i'm definitely not reading the third one for some time tho...

The merchant in the desert storm? amazing. great idea for D&D. uber merchant makes a deal with angry god-like storm making person, gets sphere of protection, or so he says.....

Oh god.... this book is really long. I'm trying to make it... may not survive all these military battles... So many.
And why is the magic so random? ancient bone magic, all these warrens, wizards possessing demons, demons making human familiars, undead dragons working through wizards, tangible invisable hands on arm stumps. it's cool but i cant get a footing on how magic works
and so many f-ing characters oy!
