this is one of the BEST plot reveals I’ve ever read I,,,,,,,,,, How did I not see that coming but also how fucking satisfying narratively

marriage is about bouncing a bed so the servants in the corridor think you’re having sex when your husband is really just crying

Inej’s elevator shaft chapter > the entirety of Game of Thrones

this section has been a bit slow. but I'm honestly still really enjoying it - if the payoff is good this might be a new fave?

this book doesn’t need to be so long but still. legendary

when I first read this book all the characters were older than I am, and now they’re all younger

this is one of the coolest beginnings to a book I've read in a while like damn Cat Winters does not pull punches
