For example, places they visit include museums, London, Russia, and Egypt. Also, in the book the setting usually reflects a dark and gloomy mood. Steele is on page 155 of 355 of Armada
In the story Armada, there is a little more to the main character Zach than we might know. He has spent his life daydreaming about fantasies he wished were real. He is an adventurous teen but some may ask, why? I personally think that Zach has experienced some of these monsters that will come into his life in the book. He feels like he has seen them before in video games, dreams, etc.

I can't relate to the main character in my book named Carter. He is a 13 year old boy that goes on adventures "in order to save the world." He has many problems a boy my age would have today meaning that I can relate to him. He is faced with many challenges and it is interesting to see his perspectives on different situations.

If I had to interview a person in this novel, I would interview a character named Sadie. She is an adventurous teen who I can relate to. In the book, she ventures out on a quest to save the world from an ancient god named Ra (The Sun God). I would ask her, why do you feel it is your responsibilty to go against Ra? I think she would respond in an modest answer that says that this is her destiny.

Reading Goal=75p.

If I was the author of this novel, I wouldn't change a thing. The story is well written and has a tremendous amount of detail. It keeps you on the edge of your seat with enough anticipation to keep you reading. The characters are unique and the substories within the novel are very interesting. The setting of the story is mysterious but at the same time beautiful so you never know what is going to happen next.

I would not like to be a character in this story. Even though there is some good times in the book like discovering magical creatures and golems, there are also some bad times. For example, the main character in the book was turned into a walrus and lost his ability of speech. This is not a scenario I would like to be in.

So far in the book, two young teens decide to spend the week at their grandparents house since their parents went on vacation. There grandparents live in a scetchy magical looking house in the wilderness. There are beautiful gardens and things seem a little too good to be true. One day there grandpa says the only rule is to not venture into the jungle. Of coarse, that what they do as they uncover hidden secrets.

I can relate to the main character in the book. I can relate to him because he is in the eighth grade. Since he is in eighth grade, we both have many of the same worries including grades. He has a normal teenage life with many friends and a good family. I go through many things in my mind today that he is also going through in the book.

My goal for next week is 80 pages.

Steele
Steele is on page 75 of 212 of Flipped
In this book, the authors purpose in writing is to show how being yourself or different can be a good thing. He is doing this by showing how a little girl named Juli Baker is living her life as a rather odd girl, but still having fun. While other kids are worried and stressing over being cool or popular, she focuses on being herself and is much happier then her peers.

My goal for next week is to read 75 pages.

The book, "The Hobbit," by J.R.R Tolkien is about a friendly little hobbit named Bilbo that gets recruited to go on a quest. So far, he has made friends and had new experiences that has never happened before. For example, he got abducted by goblins, almost eaten by trolls, and attacked by orks! At this point in the novel, his best friend Gandalf has just left the group leaving Bilbo to journey on without guidance.

Steele is finished with Hatchet (Brian's Saga, #1)
In the last section of this book, there is still hope. The solution of Brian's problem has finally occurred. An airplane has swooped down and returned Jonas to his home. He is ok and has been feed, clothed, and treated properly as he had once had before he crashed. Finally, this was a great book and I thought the ending kept you on your toes and was a good way to end the book.

Steele is finished with Maniac Magee
The book Maniac Magee has objects that are symbolic archetypes. Maniac Magee himself is an example of transformation. Throughout the book people learn to except him for who he is versus his skin color. Also, the symbol of Maniac Magee no having an "adress" is important because it shows loneliness and hardships. Jeffery mentions again and again that he is cold, lonely, or sad.

Maniac Magee has many archetypes but one stands out the most. I think that Maniac Magee is an example of a quest. Jeffrey (Maniac Magee) is on a journey in order to find a comfortable place to live and get over the tragic accident of his parents dying. At first he tries to find and adress (or home) but the realizes that is not where he belongs. Now he is continuing his quest seeking a place to be happy again.
