If I was the author of this novel, I wouldn't change a thing. The story is well written and has a tremendous amount of detail. It keeps you on the edge of your seat with enough anticipation to keep you reading. The characters are unique and the substories within the novel are very interesting. The setting of the story is mysterious but at the same time beautiful so you never know what is going to happen next.

Everything is normal, until some strange things started happening. Now, they uncover secrets and solve mysteries about the enchanted house. The grandfather tries to make sense of all the odd scenarios, but the children soon find out about the truth.

I would not like to be a character in this story. Even though there is some good times in the book like discovering magical creatures and golems, there are also some bad times. For example, the main character in the book was turned into a walrus and lost his ability of speech. This is not a scenario I would like to be in.

This week I was able to reach my reading goal because instead of reading 75 pages at the last minuet, I read little bits at a time throughout the week. I can improve even more to reach my reading goal if I stop procrastinating and stay on top of my schedule.
My goal for next week is another 75 pages.

So far in the book, two young teens decide to spend the week at their grandparents house since their parents went on vacation. There grandparents live in a scetchy magical looking house in the wilderness. There are beautiful gardens and things seem a little too good to be true. One day there grandpa says the only rule is to not venture into the jungle. Of coarse, that what they do as they uncover hidden secrets.
