yikes it's been a while since a book has so utterly stolen my heart (hahahaha) in the first few pages??

and just like that, with that first line, this book grabbed my collar, pulled me close, and told me to pay attention to it

so far this has yet to disappoint

these "we don't need invitations" hold the same energy of Gandalf pronouncing "a wizard is never late, he arrives precisely when he means to" and I absolutely love it

this sounds like my early teenage story dreams so yes I want this to be most excellent, please
