oof yes this really has been the messed up, perfect retelling I've been craving

yes yes YES this is the kind of Peter-centric retelling I've been craving . . . and while not as Neverland-centric, I am still highly enjoying this

I love all the strength like this in the book

while the fact that I'm on the ace spectrum appreciates the lack of details, I'd still appreciate some confirmation regarding if frickle-frackle time happened or not :P

idk why I thought this book was gonna be subpar cause yeah it's cliche in some places but wow it's really good??

I've come to a standstill with this because working up the brain activity to get into the writing style again is truly an effort ahaha

the last year or so I've noticed that a lot of contemporary romance covers ALL LOOK THE SAME, even though they're from different authors & publishers . . . so I did a little digging around to see how many looked eerily similar. It's a lot!!

this sounds terrible but for once in a freaking Peter Pan retelling, Peter himself doesn't seem to be overtaken by Hook . . . at least according to the blurb

all right, this book did the one thing I'm gonna kinda hate it for

nothing about this is healthy nor romantic . . . at least when Peter took Wendy to Neverland he had the decency to ASK and she willingly accepted hngggggggggggg

I really am just so tired of retellings picking Hook as the romantic option

a) why have romance vs a stirring, epic adventure

b) pick someone else besides Hook . . . or even Peter!!

for one of the MOST pivotal characters in the whole Neverland origins Peter sure isn't being given enough time nor importance here even though he's brilliant and better for Wendy than *gags* Hook
