Luke is starting Titus Adronicus and Timon of Athens
My page count is going to be a mess cause I'm actually reading only Titus Adronicus and deriving that from the Complete Works, but damnitall, until I get down to the business of reading said CW in its entirety, individual reviews for individual works it is.

[C]orrect English is the slang of prigs who write history and essays. And the strongest slang of all is the slang of poets.

It turns out that, rhetorically speaking, yelling "IMMORTAL SOULS DON'T HAVE GENDERS NUMBNUTS" at people is actually quite effective.

Luke
Luke is on page 51 of 384 of A Vindication of the Rights of Woman
For man and woman, truth, if I understand the meaning of the word, must be the same; yet the fanciful female character, so prettily drawn by poets and novelists, demanding the sacrifice of truth and sincerity, virtue becomes a relative idea, having no other foundation than utility, and of that utility men pretend arbitrarily to judge, shaping it to their own convenience.

My own sex, I hope, will excuse me, if I treat them like rational creatures, instead of flattering their fascinating graces, and viewing them as if they were in a state of perpetual childhood.

You don't know subtle until Munif hits you with what 500+ plus pages have been building towards ten pages before it ends. Knowing there's a sequel to this doesn't help the post-French-Revolution-style aftershock.

After this quarter ends I'm either going to be super fit or in jail cause I threw my Complete Works of Shakespeare at someone who mocked me for panting my way into class.

This upcoming quarter of mine's going to be a solid block of Middlemarch, Canterbury Tales, Shakespeare's tragedies, and aspiring Austen completionism, with requisite personal YoRWoC2016 reading, of course. Feel free to tag along.

Much anti-feminist criticism of feminist writing can best be answered with, "Yeah? And where were you at the time, twinkletoes? Writing your ten-thousandth essay on King Lear?"

We have been trained to regard certain kinds of art (especially the violent, the arcane, and the assaultive) as "experimental." But there's all the difference in the world between studying oxidation and producing loud noises with gunpowder.

False Categorizing: She is not really she [an artist] and it is not really it [serious, of the right genre, aesthetically sound, important, etc.] so how could "she" have written "it"?

Here's an idea, Goodreads Staff. A list search function that's a bit more accurate and a lot less time consuming than 70+ webpages of ctrl-F. Wouldn't it be nice if I didn't have to send the website response into an infinite loop every time I try (and fail) to rid a particularly longwinded lists of duplicates?
