No clue what page I am at, just met Ben. And I am having so many "yes, this is how it feels to be a female scientist" moments, quotes I want everyone to read and genetically modified dung beetles that now happily roll satsumas or marbles or whatever round thing they find but not dung.

Problematic content so far, there's only so many times one can compare things to a Jane Austen character before it becomes too much, this book has so far achieved that before we even get to the middle.

Why has the cool science been stepped all over? I loved the start, do enjoy the plot but hate that science has now gone all out of the window and we get this pseudo science that's convenient for the plot. Sad, sad sad

I am kinda halfway through. Hating the mix of Spanish and English, this book is trying too hard! It'd be so much nicer without trying to choke you with this whole "we are POC, we do not do white people" (Don't judge, I am Mexican).
