I like how tough and vulnerable montag is, often simutaniously. He knows so little, but he knows something is missing. He's awesome.

The mystery is intriguing, but the characters aren't driving me so far. Mostly I want to know the how about the things happening, less on the why.

Eh

This is why I have problems finishing books: I've started yet another book. But on the upside, I also read a lot in the other books, AND I really like what I've read in this one, which is, oops, about half of the book. My bad. So far this is the kind of dystopia. It's the kind you have to actively think out of, and one you can't think out of alone. I am sad about Clarisse though.

I'm still not thrilled about this entry into the series. The whole set up for the world is not complex enough for me to believe it's real. I find myself constantly baffled by how artificial it feels.

While I've read a lot of the short stories in this book at one time or another, I realized that I have never read the whole thing and never cover to cover. I love the short stories, but I also recognize that they are positioned in this book a certain way for a reason. It's high time I read this book as it was intended.

I don't like this one as much as I did the first, and I only kinda liked the first one. I'll finish it, but I have a feeling that this is going to have one of those silly miscommunication plots.

I'm still not finding the humorous part of this book. I get it the fox tricks every other animal. Not too impressed.

I'm loving this book so far. :)

Not liking the world much. Or at all. Oops. Is the main girl going to end up as the queen? That's the vibe I'm getting from this opening. The whole keeping her safe and in the dark is one of my most hated tropes.

Omg Lila is driving me up the wall with her silly decisions. It's like she doesn't care less about consequences. I get it, you're daring af. JUST STOP. I am a nervous person by nature, but the second hand embarrassment is strong even for me. I wish I liked you less so I wouldn't care what happens I the next 50ish pages. I only have 41 pages left and I am struggling hard.

I'm not too sure about this book. But I will continue anyway.

I'm liking this book more than I liked city of bones.

I am loving this book so far! I'm waiting to finish "A Gathering of Shadows" before I continue this book though.

This book is adorable, but even with the new translation it's a little inaccessible.

I'm not sure that this book will be my cup of tea, but we'll see.

It's weird to think I'm almost done with this series.

Why do I get the feeling that this book is getting incredibly supernatural and that there will be no explanations. It's not the most encouraging feeling. Mysteries with no solutions (at least in media) only frustrate me.

I'm starting to really slow my pace now. Idk if I like the direction this book is going.

I almost cried at work while listening to this book.

Why is Nick's POV so hard to get through? Is it because I haven't read his first story? Is it because he's not that interesting? Is it because I'm just not that into him? UH
