Great fun and really addictive!

I had to re-use an older pic as there's no sleigh conditions this year - I do sincerely hope that everyone has a great Christmas with friends, family and lots of reading. A happy new year all my friends!

Good to know: a sturdy umbrella can be good for lots of things, but should not be the first choice weapon

Off to a good start! If someone, like me, grabbed parts 2 & 3 when Amazon had them free, I'd say you don't have to get the first one, because enough is explained at the start of this one. Of course, you may be reluctant to read parts two and three of a trilogy (like me) and in that case, go for part one as well, they are worth it!

"Howling II" was a Kindle freebie some time ago and have sat on my reader since then. I was hesitant to read them out of order and when this one started popping up with great reviews in my feed, I had to get it. Just what I needed now it seems, straight told story, not too long.

The Library Policeman was great also :) Now I just hope the Sun dog breaks the pattern of every other one and turns out to be good!

The librarian was unpleasant enough - dreading the library police :-\

Really fell in love with the language, so enjoying this very much still.

Still very enjoyable, I worry that it will drag a bit though, if nothing new happens in the final third...

After a dip (think mostly narrative getting used to) I'm enjoying this very much. Dreamy, surreal and classically horrible.

Two full chapters of almost exclusively dialogue, almost like reading a play

"Secret window" comes far to hot on the heels of "the Dark Half" for me to enjoy it, unfortunately....
