As I feared, the *eyeroll* <-> (Bitch!) thing is getting mighty old by now...

An easy read, not sure about another 2/3rds of this though...

It's 170 miles to Östersund - we've got a full tank of diesel, no cigarettes. It's blindingly bright, but we're wearing sunglasses.

Light and funny, but that's all it aspires to be, so.. Cool.

Eyes won't stay open, mind won't rest until end is revealed...

Echoes a lot of "Thinner" doesn't it? Very suspenseful and hard to put down

I'm sure this would be even better if it was possible to be sympathetic to the awful main protagonist, but it is a good read nonetheless! Can't really imagine what will happen in the remaining 2/3rds, but I'm eager to find out!

Got this nice hc and also NOS4A2 on my reader since a long time, but have for some reason never gotten around to them. Now GR is overflowing with FIREMAN comments and again I thought it may be time. Pulled this one from the shelf a read 3 chapters standing on the spot.

I read that the original manuscript was 170 pages, can't help but wonder if that would have been totally fine

Can't read fast enough and can't make this last long enough...

Very absorbing and strangely visual

Furthermore, the notion that houses need people is pure nonsense. Houses don't need anything. There's absolutely nothing, with the possible exception of people themselves, that need people.

I have a good feeling about this.

Quite long part where we're told about things happening, but very little actually is...

Needs editing. And less clichés.

Not immediately taken to the laconic narrative and the story of psycho-serial-killer killing gruesomely does feel done to death. Hoping things will pick up!

Looking away from the usual far-fetched connections and explanations, still enjoying this a great deal.
