I liked Max before so I'm eager to read his story.

I wasn't thrilled about the 1st few chapters, nor was I happy w/ the ending. It just ended. No cliffhanger. I almost thought pages were missing. Nevertheless, the gut of the book was good. I will read book 2, hoping there is more character & world building.

I've read through page 95 during a previous attempt at reading the book. Hopefully, I'll be more successful this time. I'm determined to read this book. Why? I have no clue, except it intrigues me!

Do people really like the book covers that have the Fabio look-alike on them? And what is with this trend in YA to have just the girls head (usually on the ground/beach/floor) on the cover. Very weird.

Ok, I admit it, after you get passed the slightly annoying writing style of the author, the story is really good. I'm hooked, and I keep reading even when I'm supposed to be doing other stuff.

My only complaint....I want more. I loved the story.

The story has me but the writing is weird. My pet peeve- Cicely, speaking about her mother, sometimes calls her "my mother" or "mom", but other times, she'll call her by her name. I'm sorry but I have never used my mom's first name unless someone specifically asks what her name is. Other weird writing stuff- not enough background of the "witching" stuff. We, as the readers are supposed to accept w/o explanation.

The only problem with having a book on pdf at work is when you are not at work! I want to find out what happened w/ Samara but the pdf is at work! GRRRRR

Had Bonds of Justice, Raised by Wolves, or this book to choose from (my other books are at my office). This book won out, I hope I made the right decision!

One thing about the author, she knows her stuff. She absolutely knows criminal procedure and even though I have no clue about Tarot cards, I believed the author knew alot. On the same note, TMI, after awhile, I did not care about what the Tarot cards said. I felt conflicted, I like the story but there was just too much "other" stuff.

Very irritated at beginning, Tara, victim of violence, scars all over her body, she is supposed to be super intelligent, cautious of everyone, but then she gets in the car w/ a guy she knows has a fake id! As a victim of a violent crime myself, this doesn't happen. But again, it is a book, make believe, but that was frustrating. since then the book has been outstanding. Very good story!

Shocker about Uriel and Samara. Like the twins! Need to get back to work!!!!!

The book made me late for work, I started it this morning thinking I'd read the first couple pages (I only had about 5 minutes to spare), I couldn't stop reading! I like Tara so far!

Ok, for now, this is my dark and meaty choice. LOL. I really liked Embers so I have high hopes for this book. But let me say, the cover is one of the worst I've ever seen! Which publishing house allowed that book to go out looking like that?

Going to stop reading for now. Not giving this book a fair chance. Need a dark urban fantasy but I don't think I have one in my TBR pile which seems impossible to me. I must go searching!

I'm reading the book, but not exactly in the mood for it. I want something dark, & meaty (ok, that sounded totally pornographic but that is not what I meant). The book reminds me too much of other "good" books. Girl & Boy hate each other, Girl & Boy have conflict, Girl & Boy must help each other, & Girl & Boy get it on! I haven't even reached the get it on part but I'd bet my left foot it happens! I'm grumpy!

This is turning into one of my favorites! If I smile any harder at my computer, my employees are going to commit me! Love book pdfs while I'm at work!

The first book caught me by surprise. I didn't expect to like it so much. I hope I find this book as good!

GRRR, I was so frustrated with the 2nd half of this book. What a disappointment compared to the first half. I went from wanting to read book 2 and 3 to not caring.

The book is dragging a bit. Sometimes, it feels like the author is setting the reader up for book 2 and 3. I can guess without knowing the main characters in books 2 and 3, who the main characters are in those books.

Very, very slow beginning (3/4 of the book). But in the end, the book grew on me. I'll read book 2!

I'm so surprised how enjoyable this book is. The world building is great!

Finally beginning to like the book!

I'm indifferent at his point. I'm kind of reading, hoping it gets better. Right now, and I think it will be the entire book 1, you have to get used to the characters. I swore I'd read through book 2 before I'd form an opinion, so we'll see!

Love the book, the story is good, some of the scenes are very hot!

I'm surprised at how much I like this book. I really like the setting. I thought it would be cheesy but it isn't (ok, slightly with the way the tough female always finds the tough male)

Didn't mean to start reading this one, other books were in line in front of it (not literally) but somehow I started reading the first chapter and it was good!

Not going to do a full review since there are tons of them already. I did like it. Very cute. I'm curious enough to want to read book 2!

Ok, I guessed part of the surprise but not the other part. It's really hard to write status updates without spoiling the book!
