Absolutely wonderful. Alexia cracks me up. I know she is not everyone's cup of tea but I've laughed so much this morning during my walk my dog kept looking back at me wondering what was up with me.

So far, pretty good. Reminds me of alot of historical romance books I've read except the last few pages are definitely getting more interesting.

I'm so happy I decided to get this on audiobook. This book is exactly what I needed right now. I love the way Carriger writes!

Lord Markham....hmmm.. ok so I swear I read another historical romance recently with a "Lord Markham". Oh I can't remember.

I hope this gets me out of my reading slump.

I read 50 or so pages in paperback and then realized I wanted to get this on audiobook. Book 1 was fantastic on audio so I felt it was worth the wait. I love this series, and due to my recent mood, I needed a "sure thing".

I am in such a sour mood w/ my books lately. I like this book but I'm being a bitch to the characters. So, I'm going to go back to the book later on. This leaves me with absolutely nothing to read, tons of great recommendations from GR friends, a ton of books/audiobooks on my "have book" shelf and no clue what I'm in the mood for. I think I need chocolate.

I must be in a sour mood these past two days with my books, the main character (so far) in this book is pissing me off. He lost his wife hours ago and he already asked another chick to marry him. WTF! I know she is all Ms Survivorwoman and he lusts her but asking her to marry him? Come on this is ridiculous!

Please, please, please tell me Reece is NOT perfect. He is so utterly sweet, disgustingly perfect that I find him unbelievably boring. A foot massage after cooking a three course dinner (I think it was 3 courses) while entertaining Kara's son so she could sleep? Hopefully he takes his superman costume off before they scew!

It's clear the author has done her research but it is coming across like she is trying to hard on the entire whistblower/environmental/corporate greed/shady politician story. It's also predictible. I want more boy/girl less journalist/politician.

hmmm... Tom Builder is not winning points with me.

Ok..so not bad. Some silly stuff like Connor appearing with the big purple jiggly stick but other than that, I'm liking the story.

I've rarely read contemporary novels but I swear the beginning of this book (the bar scene) is so similar to another contemporary book I recently read. I think it was No Mercy but I can't remember. I thought I was reading the same book. Very weird. Other than that, I'm enjoying this so far. Reece sounds very delicious.

I'm going to go out on a limb here... This book is going to be a major hit in the UF market. I LOVE it.

This book has excellent world building, you have everything in this book- fae, ghosts, witches, gremlins, angels, demons but it isn't overdone. The story is well executed. The main female character is likeable w/ a good hard edge to her. Her potential love interest is great too. Definitely more UF than PNR.

If you love urban fantasy, this is your book (at least so far). Much better than I expected!

I was very nervous about this book. A lot of my GR & PBS friends hated it. On the other, lots of them loved it. I downloaded the book on audiobook & started it last night & continued this morning. I'm loving it. In fact, I sat outside my front door on the porch swing after my walk just so I could listen to more. I don't mind the architecture talk, so interesting. Plus the story is good.

I can't finish this book right now. It is touching too many real life issues for me.

Very impressed with the start of this book. Very urban fantasy, very kickass heroine! Loving it.

Finally! I'm listening to this one on audiobook... yeah. I've had to look up a few words that I had no clue what they were but I'm getting it. LOL

I started reading this because I forgot my Kindle when I went out for lunch & had this book in my car. What a fun surprise. I didn't want to return from lunch.

I forgot my Kindle at lunch, so I started on another book. I'm going to start this in a couple of days instead!

I was 3 miles away from Jaycee Dugard on the day she was kidnapped. I actually helped search for her in Lake Tahoe. I usually do not read books like this but I felt like I needed to.
