Awesome story. Paragon is a great...character?

Really in depth characterization. This book is a behemoth with a lot of room for development.

This story is getting more interesting as Eli’s character is developing. He has become a definite plot twist.

I deleted this out and restarted so it didn’t show I was reading it for the fourth time- it was messing up my reading goal! Unfortunately, I also lost the comments and conversations :(

This is an interesting story. It doesn’t have deep characters, but the story moves quickly and easily.

This book is good so far. It reminds me a little of Flatliners. For some reason, Goodreads has switched this to “read” from my “currently reading” a couple of times when I was nowhere near my account?

The characters Manon and Asterin are developing. This author is extremely good at characterization.

The plot is taking some twists and turns.

The plot lines around Manon and Abraxos are the most interesting. The development of the Valg is a good idea.

I like reading the books in this series in 100 page chunks. Manon is changing as a character, which makes the story more interesting.

It’s good to be back to this series. Manon and Abraxos are my favorites and there are new/old characters that are good also:)

An easy read to pass time while my shoulder heals.

It’s not bad. This is a quick break from my more serious attempt to complete the Throne of Glass series as well as the really deep and complicated Ship of Magic.

This book is keeping me up late. Celaena is confronting Maeve. Great stuff.

The storyline is picking up speed. My favorite thing about these books is following the characters to see what will happen to them, and I really like Manon.

It’s now shifting into Part Two. Rowan is getting slightly more likeable, but so is Manon.

Now this book is starting to grab me. Aedion’s development is interesting.

I like the addition of the new characters- especially Manon.

I am closing in on the end. I have really enjoyed this book and I like Alex Stern, the main character.

Wow has this taken some seriously dark turns.

This book is intense. It has a few shock moments, but it has an overall dark atmosphere that works well with these characters. I am still having trouble keeping track of each of the Houses and exactly what their specific form of magic is.

It’s good to see the update button back! So far I really like this book. I have seen this author around for awhile, and decided to try this first adult book of hers before I check out some of her YA material.

75% I love how the main character can be unpredictable, well rounded and dynamic. For example, her decision after meeting Yellowlegs was not stereotypical at all.
