I swear, if it turns out Luke Arnold is also a talented writer as well as an actor and swordfighter and really really really good-looking, I am going to be annoyed on behalf of the rest of us regular people. I mean, come on.

And now we break again before diving into Titus Alone. There's only so much Gothic I can take before I feel my jeans transforming into Fuchsia's red dress.

Time for a break. I am not sure anyone could read all three of these back to back. Time for something with laughter and sunshine in it.

Finished book one, going to read something lighter before jumping into book two. I like it, but very full of classic fantasy tropes that have not aged well, including the dreaded Female Character Gets Raped And Has To Be Rescued. I am assured things get better for the female character(s).

You can tell this is a reissued/revamped Old School romance; there's a lot of the heroine saying "no" and being overwhelmed by all these new feelings while the hero blithely continues on.
