A slow part in the middle.

Loving it so far! Is Banks back on form with his Culture novels?

I'm not sure I'm going to finish this. The story isn't grabbing me, and I know the story continues for another 11 books after this one ends. Also, how can I care about characters dying when they can be brought back to life by gods on a whim? I mean, there's a lot more going on, but that is one of many silly annoying things for me.

This starts with one of the most epic magic battles I've ever read. And who I thought was the main character is already dead. Where can it go from here?

This book is good, but the narration is one of the best I've heard yet!

Not really enjoying this that much, so it's slow going.

I'm really loving this one.

Back to 90%, but for real this time. I downloaded a very low quality version of the file section over satellite internet while at sea.

I thought I was right near the end of the book, but it seems I didn't download the final part from audible.com! Still got about 9 hours of listening to go... after I get a chance to download it.

I'm churning through this pretty quickly, due to being a bit ill.

This was the perfect material for a day in which I spent 18 hours on various planes.

The quality has picked up a lot.

This is a looong book, so I might not do it all in one stretch.
