Picked this up two years ago, stopped around the 300 page mark, and have had this spark of motivation to plow through this and continue on with the rest of the series. However, kinda confused as to what is going on right now.

Due to college, my homework has been more demanding than reading this past week. However, I am really savoring this book for all that it has to offer. This book is fantastic so far, very different yet very similar to some of his other books. Hoping to finish this before the end of the month to make this my 7th book read of the month.

This book is really starting to pick up and be unpredictable. I think reading a book like this and Illuminae at the same time is great because today I had a great hunger to read more than 50 pages of this book. I could have been reading more, but ya know, life happened.

I'm not really sure what exactly Higson is trying to do by going back a year before everything that took place during the first book. Maybe a crossover of characters later in the series? Idk. I want to devote all my time to this book, but I feel it is best if I go back and forth with this and Illuminae to give me that craving of this when I am in the mood to read it.

I'm not sure what I want to read next. I received many of the 2015 releases I had not read yet for Christmas. I have narrowed it down to my hunger for a 1st person POV book this time. Right now, it is between Simon vs the homo sapiens agenda, 100 sideways miles, and Magnus Chase: The sword of Summer. If anyone has read these, suggestions are helpful. Have a great night!
