This book is amazing I don't want to stop reading it reads so fast. This woman had a near death experience and everything she goes through from then on is so amazing seeing either angels or past loved ones and the real pearly gates of Heaven and her journey there. You feel like your right there in this chapter its beautiful and the one thing she is revealed is something she kind of knew but still breaks her heart...

I love these kinds of stories this is a short book so I hope to fly through this one I'm already loving it NDE's Faith in God and how this woman experienced who God really is I'm hooked...

Finally it picked up The boys cash in on the stuff The Theif Lord stole and now a job is on the table for Scipio but will they tell them is up to them...

The entrance of Scipio not much in this chapter just him showing off all that he does and has collected being a Theif Lord...

I really like the slow pacing you can see where the three of them are living at the moment in a run down theater you feel like your there with them.

It's starting off kinda slow but we are seeing who these characters are and a little bit of the world they are living in...

A chapter that starts off slow then makes a turn for the tragic near the end wow. I'm glad I got through it. That was so shocking it came out of nowhere. Pino really has it hard right now I feel really bad for him he's giving up his life to spy for the people who need to know losing almost everything at the moment but there are those who are there for him who understand...

A book I want to try at the moment I'm still reading my current read but I want to get into this one. I read the first chapter let's see where it goes from here...

Getting back to the story. This feels like a transition chapter it was so slow. Pino is fantasizing over the girl he met many months ago he really should have got her out of his mind at this point. I didn't really care for Pino's job right now. It doesn't have him telling the story like he was a few chapters back. This chapter doesn't bring anything to the story really...

Wow Pino has finally joined the Germans and he's not happy about it. If it keeps him safe that's all his mother wants. This is very weird to see him working for the other side. This is only the starting point for him. I know he's not comfortable being in this position...it's not him but he's going with it right now.

Kind of a slow chapter but this is where things kinds slow down for Pino. He finally comes home after being at Casa Alpina for months and sees all of the destruction where he once lived it didn't look the same from before he left. He sees his parents again and now they are trying to keep him our of harms way by joining the Germans...this is not what he wanted to come back to after he was against them...

Wow what a chapter Pino finally gets his revenge on the smugglers and wants to do more but he stops himself. The unexpected guests show up out of nowhere and they are made fools of because they were outsmarted by the locals of Casa Alpina. This book just keeps pulling me in I always want to know what happens next...

I can't believe what just happened in this chapter more climbing against all odds Pino has another group of people with him and brings them to a hut where they can rest gets completely snowed in after an avalanche of snow comes down to almost bury them alive they manage to dig out after a few hours. They get out and over the ridge into Switzerland. That was such a thrill ride of a chapter.

Geez another chapter that goes along this is a moment you are right there with them climbing and they all climb carefully until Pinos brother decides he more confident than the rest and takes a mistep and goes down with the snow what a cliffhanger...

It just keeps getting better and better wow was not expecting that just when Pino catches a break a bunch of crooks and smugglers invade the party with guns and tell them to give up their goods. They were the people watching him on the pass as he got 3 people to safety. They were like a group of pirates. This book doesn't let your attention go...

That long hike up the hills the older man almost didn't make it but now it leaves you on a cliffhanger the last sentence of the chapter that's insane. I hope everything will be ok.

Now Pino understands why the father of Casa Alpina was making him go on so many hikes this was his purpose and now he was aware of why this was happening he had a purpose for being there this whole time a test of strength to get 3 people who were jews to safety to get away from the Germans to avoid death. This was a big task for him but something he was willing to risk something that could get him killed...

I can't believe how fast I'm already getting through this book. Pino is really being put to the test as the father in Casa Alpina is challenging him to climb trails. With a couple days off he goes to meet his new friend and goes driving with him with some speed and gets attention that the father didn't want him getting... I'm really enjoying this book.

It's like reading a movie or watching a movie that hasn't been made yet. It's amazing what's happened already in 60 pages. Pino goes to Casa Alpina like his dad said. He met a so called professional driver on the way and finally settles into the house and finds his other brother there. He thought he wasn't coming but now he's glad he's there to get away from all the war in town...

Wow they left there home and come back to devastation. Pino's place of business is smashed to the ground. He is so upset He tells Pino he wants him to get out of Milan after arguing with him over it he finally agrees to leaves and to go to the place he wants him to go. This ends Part 1. What a start to this book.

How this book doesn't have a movie already...I can't believe the action that's already happened that scene was insane I can clearly see it in my mind as I read the characters are coming right off the page. Love this book already...

It reads like a movie. Poor Pino got stood up by the girl he just met but goes on to see the movie they were supposed to see anyway until air raid sirens sound and now things are about to get crazy.

I'm already enjoying it. I liked the interaction with Pino and the girl he just met I think life should be something like that, people taking a chance on eachother. Having fun and having a connection...

Love the description in the back of the book was going through some books today and found this one forgot what it was about. I wanted to read something that was in the same genre of the last book I read about World War 2 and one of history's darkest hours. I liked the preface onto the story...

Wow what a story, this just ends with the who do you think betrayed The Franks and the people in hiding. It didn't seem like it mattered anymore to anyone but to the people investigating it. They suspected Miep but that could not be possible if she had been accused than Mr. Frank also said then accuse me too. They think at the end of it all it could have been the intruder and not so much the person they thought...

The heaviness starts to pull back a little but you get pulled in tight to every word. Things were getting back to normal when Anne's Diary is finally published and completely sells out. A second printing is issued and it brought out so much in people to know it was coming from a young girl. This book floored me it opened my eyes to how it all went down many years ago...

This chapter...I'm at a loss for words you can can feel the heaviness of the times. There was celebration in the beginning people coming back from the camps people coming out of hiding but still there was no sign of Mr. Frank's daughters his family. Until he gets a letter in the mail that said they would not be coming back the emotion in the last part of this chapter is so sad...This book will stay with me for awhile

What a chapter of what it was like back then all the suffering of trying to find food hiding food trying to get the essentials for everyday living things were so hard with the Germans in control now that the war was over everything was now going to get back to normal somehow. There were no more Germans anywhere. It was done Hitler had died in the line of duty...

They continued to also collect Anne's Diary towards the end there. It's crazy how the only part missing from Anne's Diary is when they were found. It's still not something she was able to write down. It's added in later in the book that it just ends because that was the point she along with the rest of the people were found. I do remember it ending on a high note in her short lived life before being found...

Looks like they were found sometime when Miep wasn't aware of what was happening her friends were now taken the Germans had come they found the hiding place. Just before threatening her and her coworkers with a gun pointed to them. Miep did the bravest thing to go right to their headquarters to see what she could do to get them back for any money she could get it didn't work for the time being...
