Just when you think they were safe Henk and Miep were surprised by officers and they came into their home they found papers relating to someone who they knew but wasn't living there. They were making up a story things got uncomfortable when the kid that they were hiding literally called himself out and said he lived at the address where Miep and Henk lived they had no choice but to tell him to find a new place to be.

The reality of fear was sinking into those in hiding when they would hear the bombing so close to where they were. They would get a close call from looking like there was a large group listening to the radio at night in the office to see what was going on with the war if things were coming to a close. Henk also revealing that he was doing secret work for half a year already he was just revealing to Miep...

A not so comfortable feeling when a new boss is about to run the company that the hiding place is in Miep and her husband hiding a new person in their home without telling their friends. Life was moving on and now Anne was growing up she was becoming a young woman...

This chapter gets a little better when another member is added to The Hiding Place. A dental doctor who was quite surprised when he was led into this place he didn't know how many more would be there to greet him. At the end of it all they all managed to get along. There was now a feeling that they should bring some happiness and joy into the place as things were getting a little rough at times, Miep had a plan...

As others on the street were looking for hiding places the 7 peeople in hiding were safe from everything. What an experience Miep was the one to gather everything for everyone in hiding. She got to experience it for herself with her husband it wasn't a good feeling as she says. She couldn't imagine how they lived like this day to day, it was all they could do...

Life in the Annex was very interesting and strange at the same time. From them hearing about what was going on in the outside world
to living life in general things were going on as they could just in a whole new way. They were able to get things in they needed such as food and other things they wanted. It was just a different life now. While others were being taken away they were safe...

It was time things were getting worse in town and they were tired of the rules that were put upon their race and they had to leave their home for the secret hiding place...now know as The Annex. Miep helped them progress with bringing things to the Annex. Finally getting them there and letting them settle in the family was in shock at the moment this was a time Miep let them be for the first night together...

Once you get into another chapter you get pulled right back in an closer to who Miep really was as a person. A lot of things happened during that time that happened a couple years back in our time, that are very much the same and the agenda they were trying to push. This is the beginning of Miep hiding all these people including Anne. Things were changing and now they are about to go into hiding...

What a chapter I wasn't expecting that story. It was a dark time back then but to still fight against the odds with letters back and forth until she got what she needed. She was able to marry Henk. With darkness in those times their world was a little bit brighter that day as Miep and Henk were able to get married at last... what an incredible ending to this chapter...

More of Miep Gies' office life and her job and her relationship with her boyfriend of sorts she talks about her loving relationship with him and how they were getting closer and they both were not getting younger and Miep wanted to get married soon and start a family. While life went on there were attempts on Hitler's life which she was all to joyous about. But nothing was close to them so they were happy for now...

The story of when Miep and her companion Henk would spend time together going to the cinema and the days they would spend with the Frank's at their house for dinners and coffee and talk about the life in Germany and everything they had been through. It was a very different time.

Miep Gies' experience in early life of her work life experience and when she first meets Anne's Father and eventually her family in Anne's home of the time. It's a great story.

A book that is finally catching my attention today. I want to read something to get me out of this slow paced reading I was at. This book is already catching my attention. Miep Gies' story growing up and the lead up to the Anne Frank Story. I love this story so far I feel like I'm with her as she tells the story of herself growing up.

In this case Edmund represents Judas who is called by The White Witch to tell where the rest of his family is. Like Judas betrayed Jesus Edmund betrayed his family and turned to the side of the Witch who represents the evil one, as in 1 Peter 5:8, Luke 21:16 and 22 :3-6.

Edmund has reached the white witch's castle and now he is telling her everything he has heard that he has brought his brother and sisters into Narnia and that they are not too far. Also that Aslan is coming...

It sounds like Merlin is out to find himself now. Lot of history talk in this chapter. But this is where he goes out to the forest and disappears for awhile.

The white witch has no power over Aslan she will not stand in His presence as demons will fall down before Him and tremble...

Edmunds escape to the white witch he may now have betrayed his brother and sisters. He is most likely in the presence of the witch and things are about to get worse now she will come looking for them.

The chapter of fulfillment when 2 Sons of Adam and 2 Daughters of Eve come to Narnia a long awaited deliverance in near. Creation waits in eager expectation for the Sons of God to be revealed (Romans 8:19) The line "To think that ever I should live to see this day!" Luke 2:29-30 it says Simeon rejoiced to witness the arrival of the Christ-child Israel's deliverer as He promised you now dismiss your servant in peace..

The dinner they had all been wanting and starving for. They meet 2 beavers and they take their guests into their little home. They all helped and sat around the table to eat a delicious meal. Very different than the movie in some parts.

This chapter has a lot going on scripture wise concealing sin will not prosper you but with confession and renouncing your sin you find mercy Proverbs 28 :13. As Edmund did at the beginning lying that he wasn't in Narnia. Pv. 24:11 says Rescue those being led away to death, as Tumnus did for Lucy. The debate whether or not to trust Tumnus and the bird though Edmund has already made an alliance with the witch...

They are now in the wood realizing that Mr. Tumnus is not where he lived and his house has been broken into. They are now on a search following a robin to see where it leads them to hoping it leads them in the right direction...

Trying to build a tower that won't stand and they think blood sacrifice would work that's when Merlin comes in and says that will not work because that's not the solution. It's because of 2 things the pool beneath it and like the history of Britain says the Red Dragon and the White Dragon that hides beneath the pool, symbolizing the red being Britain and the white being Germany.

If that wasn't a good start to this book I don't know what is, and why I put this book down awhile ago I will never know. Why would the King of Orkney be so enraged by Arthur pulling the sword. He is the rightful heir to the sword.
