Not much to this chapter, just Russian Bill going on a small excusion or important mission to show him how to be a cowboy in Shakespeare New Mexico for Silver coins. Mae was now worried about this.

Another dinner with her friend Dorthea this time the dinner was in the place she was staying the home of Crazy Anne her voice was being heard and she was telling her she had a connection to The Birdcage Theater. After Dorthea left that's when a different recognizable voice started talking to her as Mae. This time, she felt him, and the scenery changed as it happened. This time it was real, not a dream.

When she falls asleep, she has a dream about the voice she keeps hearing weirdly it comes from the first door in the theatre the guy shows himself to her still calls her Mae because that's apparently who she used to be in a different life there in Tombstone. Wow!!!!

Now this just got crazy the woman whom Cheryl had dinner with was making her upset because she was not believing that a ghost talks to her and it being her own Grandmother. She said she didn't believe it at first but she knows it was real. She told her things that were in the records and things that were not in the records and how life was back then...

But also the woman Lizette she had talked to her it was very odd to her because she had lived over 100 years ago. How was this possible... Cheryl almost felt like this whole journey to Tombstone was a dream for what she was experiencing...

Cheryl finally leaves the Birdcage Theater and lets the host in the front of the building know of the bad smell by the first door where the ladies of the night played their trade. It was a dangerous room. It was not open to the public she sensed something weird and unusual in that room. They told her it was probably a small dead animal. That's not what she was sensing. She finds out about what Mae did for a living...

Mae learns of a man who is deeply in love with her that she never knew before. She thought he was just paying for her for the night, but this was turning into a real love. She didn't know she wanted deep inside herself...with Russian Bill...

Now this part was very accurate for someone who knows The Birdcage Theater very well. I'm impressed by the detail of everything it's exactly as I know it to be. It's like a tour of the inside of the building. Guiding us every step of the way through the building. Except the main character is going through it, and now she is hearing the ghostly voice again she heard last time call out for Mae again.

We are getting to see who Mae really is, a woman who escaped her home because her parents didn't approve of her being a singer and dancer. She was locked away but managed to escape she was sad, but she knew it was her only way to freedom in doing what truly felt right in her heart. She was now a performer at the Birdcage Theater...

Now we know who Mae is. This chapter tells her story how she mingled with the cowboys and the ladies of the night as they worked at the Birdcage Theater good scene. It feels as though it turned more into a fictional story, but it mentions some of the famous cowboys from Tombstone and what it was like during that time and why there are bullet holes in the ceiling. It was more of a celebration instead of clapping...

How much he has been through with his family not knowing he is a spy and them not accepting him because they see him looking like he is for the enemy side, because of the uniform. He tells Anna everything while they spend the day together. She seems to be the only one who is there for him at this point because she understands...

Wow, what a chapter I didn't think it was going anywhere until it took an interesting turn I didn't see coming. After all this driving the General around Pino finally gets a break a day off but not before Pino tells Anna what's been going on with him and everything he has seen with the General...

as it was back then and the man who was calling her Mae is there she sees him and all the other phantom people the women of the night and the cowboys except you can see right through them at that point she goes unconscious...

Cheryl finally goes to The Birdcage Theater. She is met by the person who works there Heather to greet her, she looks around as she walks into the place. She sees the theatre in all its amazement. After a while, she starts to see the place come alive...

A nightly stroll, and either she was dehydrated or something supernatural or ghostly was affecting her something was obviously after Cheryl. All of a sudden, a biker catches her just before she fainted and brings her back to consciousness and following her to her place where she was staying just to make sure she was ok.

I'm not sure what happened there but some woman named Lisa seemed to either be taken by a man in the shadows or a phantom she just disappeared she worked at Big Nose Kate's and she mysteriously didn't show up for her shift and her coworkers are wondering what happened to her...

Cheryl is now slowly becoming a resident of Tombstone, getting all the history of the woman who used to live where she is staying and what she used to do as a job. She gets invited out of town for a while to get more groceries and to get out for a bit. She really enjoyed herself. Kind of a slow chapter...

Cheryl is just getting settled into what she would be doing in Tombstone for the time being in the Courthouse she already started to learn the register, and she was getting used to bring there in town when she hears a voice calling out to Mae she thinks her ears are playing tricks on her after a big dinner. She thinks nothing of it and goes back inside for the night...

Still very accurate, but going from Cheryl going to sleep after an interesting first day in Tombstone, it transitions straight to a small description of the Birdcage Theater like it's so close and you're suddenly inside. I think it could have been left out of the last part of the chapter, just her going to sleep.

I'm already loving this book. I know exactly where they are as they make their way into Tombstone they pass Boothill Cemetery. It's like you're there it's very modern day. I haven't read a book like this before... it's exactly as you would enter it even the Circle K gas station coming into town. It's very accurate...

I need a quick, easy read right now, this book has me hooked already. Tombstone is one of my favorite places to visit in Arizona. This is going to be an interesting read.

This chapter reminds us what Christ did for us on the cross. When He said "It is Finished" (John 19-30) He took the cross for all man kind, for all our sins. How many times do we think is our life in our own hands...or we try to roll back the stone. Salvation is finished, sanctification is not, completion is not He gives us His Word to justify this...

This chapter the general starts opening up to Pino about his back story. He thinks it's different because he's always been so serious all the time. Pino sees Anna again, and the general is drunk at this time. But the ending part of the chapter, the Germans take on more territory and Pino isn't liking this whatsoever. He doesn't understand how the General can be so cold...

He gets to see Anna again after coming back from the day of work and an action packed game of cat and mouse as they are being fired at from a plane in the sky while they were on the ground in a car. Pino manages to save both his life and the general's life as they abandon the car as it is ripped to shreds by a plane enemy fire...

A lot happens in this chapter, but what a crazy wrap-up at the end WOW!!! Pino's brother comes back hates him when he sees his arm band his Dad comes out and explains what's really going on and it's not what he thinks. He doesn't buy it and is disgusted with him. Pino sees the slavery where the Germans have something going on he doesn't like it at all...

Finally, getting back into this book, it's time it picks right back up for me... a tragic scene at first, but it slows down, and the moment we have all been waiting for the scene of Pino and Anna, share a moment of love in eachothers eyes. He finally gets to kiss her for the first time yes corney but after all this time, the kid deserves to have this moment with her.

A lot to think about this chapter was very all over the place. It comes down to a simple message : Stay True to God's Message to us His Love. Not the ways of the pharisees the way of man's law we will be so quickly to fall back into the ways of the world when we forgot God has already established His Law. We need to focus on His Law The Law of Love, not religion...

We see a little bit of his young life as he moves to Jerusalem and becomes who he will become later in life a teacher, a rabbi, but was still a Pharisee. He was a student for The Lord. He is a great example of who we should be focusing our attention on God. The last line of 1 Cor. 8:1-3 But the man who loves God is known by God.We should always study The Word carefully taking in every bit to increase our love for God

Things were very different for Saul growing up a typical 13 year old today doesn't know who he is or where he is in life. Saul was committed to scripture he wore it as a bracelet or sorts with beads that represented his faith in God and how determined he was to stay as close to God as he can as he had a strict upbringing it wasn't a choice but it's the way he was brought up...
